Former British Olympic Skier Graham Bell has set a new Guinness World Records title for the ‘fastest towed speed on skis’, pulled by the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake. After only a couple of practice attempts it was clear that Graham and the XF Sportbrake were more than up to the challenge and he went on to smash the target set by Guinness World Records by over 47mph, achieving an average top speed of 117mph at Jaguar Land Rover’s Arctic Revi Test Centre in Arjeplog, Sweden.

Jaguar Land Rover Classic has launched a brand new Classic Drive event at Eastnor Castle, allowing guests to experience the terrain where Land Rover honed many of its legendary all-terrain vehicles, and to get behind the wheel of some of the most beautiful Jaguars ever made. Based at the spectacular 5000-acre Eastnor Castle estate in Herefordshire, the new Classic Drive experience will see visitors tackling Eastnor’s thick mud and challenging slopes in some of the vehicles that helped establish the Land Rover legend. The Land Rover story began with the Series I in 1948, a spartan but unstoppable four-wheel-drive vehicle originally designed for farm and industrial use. This Classic Drive experience offers guests a rare insight into where Land Rover’s off-road DNA was developed from the early 1960s by getting them behind the wheel of an early Series I.

The 2017 Jaguar Classic Challenge season concluded at the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium during the Six Hours of Spa race weekend, with the father and son pairing of Graeme and James Dodd taking their third victory of the five-race season in their 1963 E-type. A strong 33-car entry competed in the Belgian event, all pre-1966 Appendix K specification Jaguars. Andy Newall and Rhea Sautter put their 1961 E-type on pole during qualifying, more than two seconds ahead of Chris Milner and Nigel Greensall’s car. The Dodds started third, with Marcus Oeynhausen lined up alongside them on the second row of the grid.

Jaguar’s new E-PACE performance SUV plays in the city in a series of ‘warped reality’ pictures by digital artist Chris Labrooy. The artwork celebrates the North American launch of Jaguar’s new compact performance SUV. Inspired by the car’s playful character and its record-breaking barrel-roll reveal, Labrooy puts the E-PACE into a series of unlikely locations and scenarios. The ‘Transposition’ series of images revealed today features Detroit, famed for its automotive heritage and the location of the E-PACE’s US debut today.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) North America this week celebrated the U.S. Armed Forces Team at a send-off event in Long Island, N.Y. ahead of their departure to Toronto for the 2017 Invictus Games, the international sporting event for wounded, ill and injured service members. JLR is the Presenting Partner of the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 and sponsor of the U.S Armed Forces Team, continuing their support of the inaugural Games in London in 2014 and the Orlando Games in 2016.

Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the Jaguar I-PACE race car that will compete in a pioneering single-make series supporting the FIA Formula E world championship. The electric racer is based on the Jaguar I-PACE – the world’s first premium, performance, all-electric SUV that launches next year and is already a hit with customers around the globe placing their deposits. The new Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY series will join the Formula E circuit in 2018.

As part of Jaguar Land Rover North America’s continued commitment to supporting Veterans and Transitioning Service Members, the company today announced the expansion of its Veterans hiring program with CALIBRE Systems, Inc. across its retailer network in Canada. The first Canadian Armed Forces Veteran was hired through Jaguar Land Rover Edmonton in Alberta, Canada this month. The program, which connects skilled and experienced service members and veterans with employment opportunities at Jaguar Land Rover retailers in partnership with CALIBRE Systems, Inc., was launched in the U.S. in 2016 and has resulted in the hiring of nearly 200 Veterans to date. This program follows the recruitment of over 700 Transitioning Service Members, Veterans, and currently serving members of the National Guard and Reserve in the UK since 2013. GKN has agreed to a multi-year partnership with Panasonic Jaguar Racing, which will see the global engineering group provide design, manufacturing and consultancy services to the Formula E team. The official partnership was announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in advance of the 2017/18 FIA Formula E championship that commences in Hong Kong on 2 December, and continues GKN’s longstanding relationship with Jaguar.

After becoming the first premium manufacturer to enter Formula E in 2016, Jaguar has created eTROPHY, the world’s first production battery electric vehicle race series. The Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY will be the support series for the FIA Formula E championship, taking place on the same weekends at the same city circuits, starting in late 2018.

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc is expanding the use of recycled aluminum in its car bodies to cut waste and reduce carbon emissions. The £2 million project, called REALITY, has found a way to enable the closed-loop recycling of aluminum from end-of-life vehicles back into high-performance product forms for new vehicle body manufactured in the UK by Jaguar Land Rover.

From 2020 all new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles will be electrified. The company made the announcement at its inaugural Tech Fest, a series of debates and a free public exhibition about the future of mobility.

Jaguar Land Rover Classic is presenting an electric-powered Jaguar E-type at the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Fest, which opens to the public on 8 September in London. The car, known as E-type Zero, has been restored and converted at Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works in Coventry, not far from where the E-type was born. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC today reported August 2017 U.S. sales: Jaguar sales were 3,101 units, a 6 percent decrease from 3,298 units in August 2016; Land Rover sales increased 5 percent to 6,320 units from 6,031 in August 2016; Jaguar Land Rover August U.S. sales for both brands hit 9,421 units, a 1 percent increase from 9,329 units in August 2016. Year to date, Jaguar Land Rover is up 13 percent in the United States, ahead of 2016’s record sales year pace. We are pleased to notch a small increase in August in the face of a challenging marketplace. Ben, the not-for-profit organization that partners with the automotive industry to provide support for life to its people and their family dependents, announces that the Jaguar Land Rover Channel Swim Challenge has raised an impressive £185,000 so far. The £160,000 target has been smashed, yet the total is likely to grow as donations and fundraising events continue. Jeremy Hicks, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover UK, swam the English Channel, along with 13 of his colleagues in a two team relay on Thursday 24th August. The two teams set off at 10pm on Thursday and made it to French soil on Friday 25th August at around 2.30pm, resulting in a total time of around 16.5 hours. This was no mean feat as the English Channel is 21 miles wide and one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
