Olympic triathletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee have reignited their rivalry in a triathlon with a difference – behind the wheel of a Jaguar XF and XF Sportbrake. The pair competed in a trio of challenges to show off the dynamic performance, increased load space and parking technology of both vehicles.

Invictus Games Toronto 2017 competitor and Jaguar Land Rover employee, Steven Boulton, was given a surprise send-off by colleagues at the car manufacturer’s Solihull site, as the National Flag Tour gets underway in Canada today. A bespoke car livery, featuring good luck messages from Jaguar Land Rover employees to Invictus competitors was on display during the celebration. The livery is also used on a fleet of new Discovery on the Invictus Games National Flag Tour, which marks the countdown to the Games starting on September 23.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC has announced that Tyfone and SIMPLENIGHT are the latest start-ups to join the Portland technology accelerator program, becoming the seventh cohort to join the program since launching last year. The new additions focus on increasing data security and personalizing consumer experiences, which directly impact consumers today. Tyfone brings the security of credit card chips to the convenience of mobile phone payments through its patented SideCard™ product. SideCard brings omnichannel security by packing smartcard secure elements accessible through Bluetooth® LE, NFC and contact interfaces in an ultrathin credit card form factor. It delivers the highest level of security sufficient for military grade applications without the need for complex passwords and enrollment. Tyfone currently has 140 issued and pending patents and serves key industries with converged omnichannel security needs such as financial services, critical infrastructure, transportation, and the U.S. Government.

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc, the UK’s largest vehicle manufacturer, today reported its results for the Quarter ended June 30, 2017, showing an encouraging customer response to the company’s innovative product portfolio. Retail sales for the quarter reached 137,463 vehicles, up 3.5% on the previous year led by the 2017 World Car of the Year, and Women’s Car of the Year award-winning Jaguar F-PACE (up 86% year on year), following a sequence of successful market launches. Continuing strong demand was seen for well-established models such as the flagship Range Rover (up 14%) and freshly launched models such as the long wheelbase Jaguar XFL in China (boosting overall XF sales by 22%).

Today, on Dull and Boring Day, Jaguar announced the launch of a new campaign for the 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE to bring excitement to the two towns of Dull, Perthshire in Scotland and Boring in Oregon, U.S. Jaguar selected two residents of Boring, and another pair from Dull, to inspire some excitement in each of the chosen towns. Each pair was given a new 2018 Jaguar F-TYPE R, the most dynamically capable and performance-oriented sports car in the Jaguar family line up, to add a little adventure and excitement to their lives by turning everyday journeys in Dull and Boring, including visits to local stores, coffee shops and gas stations, into a thrilling ride.

For the last two years thirteen staff at Classic Motor Cars (CMC) have been working on a top secret project, the restoration of a one-off Pininfarina bodied XK120 SE which is to be unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours on Sunday, August 20th. On Friday 4th August, the team, which had been supported by everybody on company’s the 60 plus workforce, were pictured with the car – “under wraps”.

The Jaguar I-PACE Concept has been named Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2017 at the 16th North American Concept Vehicle Awards.  As well as achieving the highest overall score to take away the top honor, Jaguar’s all-electric performance SUV also won the Production Preview Concept of the Year category. The awards, held at the Concours d’Elegance of America, recognize those vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry. More than two dozen jurors participated in a selection process that involved a total of 24 vehicles, each introduced to North America during this season’s auto shows in Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC today reported July 2017 U.S. sales: Jaguar sales were 3,166 units, a 7 percent decrease from 3,398 units in July 2016; Land Rover sales decreased slightly to 5,915 units, down 2.6 percent from 6,075 in July 2016; Jaguar Land Rover July U.S. sales for both brands hit 9,081 units, a 4 percent decrease from 9,473 units in July 2016. Year to date, Jaguar Land Rover is up 15 percent in the United States, ahead of 2016’s record sales year pace. Panasonic Jaguar Racing brought their debut season in FIA Formula E to a close today in Montréal with both Jaguar I-TYPEs racing hard but ultimately missing out on further points.  Mitch Evans lined up P17 and Adam Carroll P19 after a difficult qualifying session with track temperatures noticeably warmer than yesterday. Following a strong seventh place finish on Saturday for the Kiwi, Mitch battled throughout the race to finish just outside the points in P12. Adam drove a faultless race and brought his Jaguar I-TYPE home in P14 and completed a full set of race finishes for the British driver. Both drivers made up five places during the race despite having to manage their energy carefully over 37 laps.

More than 40XJ220 Jaguars came together at the Silverstone Classic Saturday (29 July), in a record-breaking reunion to mark the 25th birthday of what was once the fastest production car in the world. The dramatically-styled, mid-engined, two-seater supercar was introduced in 1992, with its top speed of 212.3mph making it Jaguar’s quickest road-going car – an accolade it still holds to this day.

One of the first 500 E-Types produced by Jaguar has been found in pieces in France and is to be brought back to life by world-class restorers Classic Motor Cars of Bridgnorth (CMC). Chassis No. 875256 is one of the very early 3.8 left-hand drive, open two seater, outside bonnet lock models with all matching numbers. It was delivered new to the Belgium Motor Company dealership in Brussels in July 1961 and was subsequently sold to ‘Societe de Civel Immeubles en Afrique.’ It resurfaced in France in 2015 and records indicate that it was imported from Luxembourg in 1975.

The best-selling lots at Barons Connoisseurs Classic Car Collection sale at Sandown Park on July 18th were two pieces of classic British motoring heritage, both of which exceeded the top estimate. The bright red 1970 Jaguar E-type Series 2 FHC achieved £51,700 while the handsome 1964 Jensen CV8 sold for just under £49,000. Queen guitarist Brian May raised over £6,300 for the animal charity Save Me when the 1952 Jowett Javelin he bought for his father 35 years ago went under the hammer at the sale. Enthusiastic bidding and strong pre-sale publicity meant that the car went for over top estimate, with the lucky new owner acquiring a charismatic family classic car previously owned by rock royalty.

Jaguar has released a short behind-the-scenes documentary offering viewers the chance to see how its engineers brought a perilous barrel roll stunt from concept to reality. The stunt, which was six months in the making, was over in just 1.5 seconds when the E-PACE was revealed to the world at London’s ExCeL on Thursday 13th July. Jaguar leapt into GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ history with its new performance SUV for the furthest barrel roll in a production vehicle. Over a million people* watched the stunt within the first week online.

Jaguar has launched the new XJR575 with a high-speed interview starring designer Wayne Burgess being questioned by TV presenter and race driver Amanda Stretton as the performance saloon accelerates from 0-186mph. Lasting just 44 seconds – the time it takes Jaguar’s fastest-ever XJ saloon to reach its top speed – Burgess gave a quick-fire insight into the development of the potent new model.

Jaguar Land Rover has opened its Chinese engine plant as part of its RMB10.9 billion joint venture with Chery Automobile Ltd. The state-of-the-art facility will manufacture the all-new Ingenium 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine for future Chery Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. During the first six months of the year, Jaguar Land Rover sales have increased by 26 per cent in China. The new engine plant demonstrates Jaguar Land Rover’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market, providing customers with an exciting range of vehicles and powertrain options, as well as to its joint venture.

This week, our video features the performance of the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team at the Formula E races in New York. First of all, it is fun watching these cars tear around, but secondly, it is such a different auditory experience with the sound of electric motors instead of the internal combustion beasts. In front of the iconic Manhattan skyline, Panasonic Jaguar Racing claimed a vital championship point in the first of the NYCePrix Formula E races. Adam Carroll advanced three positions to finish 10th, whilst Mitch Evans sustained damage early in the race. The New Jaguar E-PACE has set an official Guinness World Records™ title during its world premiere in London. Leaping into the record books, Jaguar’s compact performance SUV achieved an epic 15.3 metre-long jump, complete with a 270-degree corkscrew-like barrel roll. Behind the wheel was legendary British stunt driver Terry Grant. One of the best things about watching this barrel roll, other than the sheer marvel of such a stunt, is that you get a full 360-degree view of the E-PACE. Let’s face it, it is hard to hide much when you soft white (or aluminum) underbelly is exposed for all the world to see.
