The North Alabama British Motoring Society, NABMS, is hosting the 16th Annual EuroBrit Auto & Bike Expo at Madison Dublin Park, June 1, 2019 from 9:00 to 3:00. Sponsorship from Century Jaguar-Land Rover, Landers McLardy Fiat-Alfa Romeo, Martin’s Classic Cars and City of Madison. The show is free to spectators. There will be all makes of European cars displayed, new, restored, and works in progress. One hundred or more cars and bikes will be coming from neighboring cities and states to compete for awards and door prizes. The show proceeds will benefit the local chapter of Autism Resource Foundation a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. South Alabama British Car Club presents its 28th annual British Car Festival October 26–27, 2018, celebrating 70 years of Land Rover, at Fairhope United Methodist Church in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama, an artist colony on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The pre-show dinner will be held Friday at 7:00 pm at the church, and registration opens at 9:00 am on Saturday. Awards will be presented in 36 classes. Registration is $25 in advance (received on or before October 19) and $30 at the show; additional cars are $15 each. Trailer parking is available.

The Birmingham Motoring Club‘s annual car show, Sports Cars at Brookwood Village, will be held on November 4, 2017, 9AM – 2PM. We are expecting between 100 and 125 cars on the field based on registrations and membership commitments. The show is primarily focused on classic and vintage British and European cars but some original American examples and newer British and European “supercars” will be present.

According to Alabama new outlet Yellowhammer, British luxury sports car brand Aston Martin is considering building a new factory in Alabama that would likely manufacture the company’s DBX crossover utility vehicle (CUV), which was released as a concept in March of this year. Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said late last week that building such a facility in Alabama would make sense for two primary reasons. Number one, locating a factory near the current Mercedes-Benz plant in Vance, Alabama would provide unique convenience and cost-savings opportunities for Aston Martin’s operation.
