VotW (?) – British Leyland / BMC Day 2021 at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon

This just in from our good friend John Clancy of TriumphDVD. As you can tell by the title, what John has given us is a look at the annual British Leyland / British Motor Corporation Day that is held regularly at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. The museum itself is a fantastic place to visit, but on a day like this, it would be unbeatable.

Here is what John has to say about the video:

A look at this fabulous event with the help of some of the owners but also Gordon Birtwistle – Triumph’s High-Speed Development Engineer – who takes a look at the single surviving Triumph SD2 in the museum annex building as he was the man responsible for all the chassis ride and handling development work on this fabulous car that was canceled just prior to production to be replaced by the Triumph Acclaim. George Johnson adds a little exclusivity as an addition to the assortment of fabulous British Leyland products with his locally produced Aston Martin Vantage of 2018 vintage.

A great day that has hopefully been captured for everyone to enjoy in this video.

Thanks to John for posting this, and please stop by his website, subscribe to his videos, and pick up a few of his DVDs. You won’t be sorry. Oh, and don’t be misled by his business name, there are lots more DVDs there than just Triumph titles – there are titles relating to Austins, Spridgets, the BLMC competitions department, and even farm tractors!

  1. I enjoyed the video; hate to see what will happen with the hype over electric.
