Anticipated to be one of the largest gatherings of Sunbeam and Rootes cars ever in North America, the weekend and location has been selected to coincide with Toronto British Car Day, the largest one-day, all-British car event in North America. Sunbeam and Rootes enthusiasts will be converging from as far away as Vancouver, British Columbia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Florida for a variety of events over an extended weekend including tours, concours, autocross, parts room, and more. BCD participants representing over 100 British car clubs, come not only from Canada and the United States but from the U.K., New Zealand and other international destinations as well. The 37th Annual British Car Day® will be held on Sunday, 18th September 2022 at Bronte Creek Provincial Park when another great show is planned. We are expecting well over 1,100 British Cars, great vendors, wonderful anniversary cars spanning 3 years and much more. We have had to make a modest increase to our car registration pricing this year by $5 – the first change since 2010 – to cover ever-increasing costs. Pre-registration through FASTLANE will be available in May 2022 and it’s a great way to save money ($20 versus $25 at the gate). British Car Day® is a volunteer-run event hosted annually by the Toronto Triumph Club, a not-for profit organization.  Since its inaugural event in 1984, British Car Day® has grown in leaps and bounds, and this past year drew 1,000 British cars, over 50 vendors and 8,000 spectators. British Car Day® is held on the third Sunday of September and is open to vintage, classic and current British manufactured vehicles, including motorcycles. The event is the largest, one-day, all-British car event in North America, with visitors from Ontario, the northeast United States, the Maritime Provinces, Quebec, and Manitoba, representing membership in 100 British car clubs. The Toronto Triumph Club supports the Oakville Lions Club and Friends of Bronte Park. All park gate receipts go to Bronte Creek Provincial Park.

McLaren Ascot has been named McLaren Automotive European Retailer of the Year 2017 in recognition of the highest standards of business operation and following a record year for McLaren Automotive in the UK. The strong domestic demand for McLaren sportscars and supercars in 2017 generated unprecedented sales of 550 cars representing a 23% year-on-year increase. The McLaren Retailer of the Year Program has been running since 2015 to distinguish locations representing the highest business standards and strong sales performance. The 2017 edition saw entries across the entire McLaren retailer network, comprising 86 locations in 31 markets. All contenders were meticulously benchmarked and assessed in key areas such as sales, customer service, aftersales and marketing and McLaren Ascot subsequently emerged as the brand’s European Retailer of the Year 2017.
