*** Cancelled *** Entry forms are now available for all three events at the 2020 Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, set for Oct. 16-18 in downtown Chattanooga. Presented by DeFoor Brothers and hosted by Fifty Plus Racing Foundation, Inc., the 2020 Festival includes a full three days of activities in West Village, the Tennessee Riverfront and the Westin Hotel Chattanooga. The Time Trials and the High Jinks Rallye will be conducted on both Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 and 18, while the Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 18. For the second straight year, the Festival will feature the High Jinks Rallye Experience the Landscape, the Time Trials Between the Bridges, and the Concours d’Elegance Rendezvous of the Greats, focusing on vehicles of all types and presentations that engage, excite and entertain the entire family.

Awards, Prizes, Silent Auction, drive, guided hike, English Tea Setting Contest and more! Each class with a pre-registered entry and classes with 2 or more entries will receive awards. First 50 registrants receive a free dash plaque. Friday, the 24th:  visit with old friends and make new ones at the Harrow Road Café, followed by Irish Road Bowling. Saturday is Show day; 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM Eastern Time. Saturday evening the Remains of the British gather at Oak Lodge for repast and libations (bring some to share). People from all over the southeast and beyond come together to show off their colorful paint, polished chrome and works in progress at our annual gathering. Early registration is only $25 and includes the Friday night cookout (by April 15; $30 day of show). Relax in the beauty of a Smoky Mountain spring. Come a day early or stay a day late and drive the Cades Cove loop, hike Laurel Falls, visit Sugarlands Visitor Center or wade in the Little River. Hosted by Blount British Cars and English Auto Society.

See breathtakingly beautiful cars exhibited in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains, as enthusiasts come together to proudly provide a show of colorful paint, polished chrome and works of art! Springtime in the Smokies, the annual gathering of European automobiles and motorcycles, always the second Saturday in May, on the grounds of the Talley Ho Inn in beautiful Townsend, Tennessee. The event draws cars from all states surrounding Tennessee; as far north as Michigan, as far south as Florida, and from many other places in between. Entries have included British cars and motorcycles (and now German, Italian, French and Swedish) from as early as the 1930’s. Unusual entries have included Amphicars and even an Austin Healey boat! Summer Road Trip 2016 – Part 1

The primary purposes of this road trip were (are? I am still on it) to see my friend Gene Gillenwater in Ohio, to attend the MG national meet in Louisville, KY, and to simply get out and drive and see some countryside. I have done all of those, and I am still on the road! The first leg of the road trip took me from Charleston, SC, over some of the worst roads I have ever seen, through North Carolina and a bit of Tennessee up into Virginia. Seriously, the roads in my own home state are the worst I have seen and are in dangerously bad shape. We should be ashamed of ourselves. 27th Annual British Car Gathering, Townsend, Tennessee

The 27th annual British Car Gathering, hosted by Blount British Cars, will be held May 9, 10, 11, 2014 in Townsend, Tennessee, on the grounds of the Talley Ho Inn. This year the club is partnering with the Knoxville English Auto Society and inviting their European neighbors to enjoy a spring day in the Smokies.
