Geneva International Motor Show Cancelled

The 90th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show, which was supposed to welcome the media starting today and the general public from 5 to 15 March 2020, will now finally not take place. This is an injunction decision of the Federal Council of February 28, 2020 that no events with more than 1,000 people are allowed to take place until March 15, 2020. The decision fell just 3 days before the opening of the exhibition to the media.

The family-owned, British manufacturer officially unveiled the car at the 88th International Geneva Motor Show. The second-generation McLaren Super Series, which will make its public debut on March 7 at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show, is poised to raise previously accepted limits of supercar performance. According to Road & Track, Morgan will show off the EV3, a new electric version of their 3-wheeler, at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Morgan 3 Wheeler, one of our favorite anachronisms, is officially getting a modern reinvention. Morgan is set to debut a “near production-ready version” of the electric EV3 at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, according to Autocar. Morgan first showed off a prototype of the electric 3 Wheeler, shown above, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last summer. One of the biggest problems with any electric or hybrid car is the weight of the lithium-ion batteries, but Morgan claims to have shaved weight off of the V-Twin-powered 3 Wheeler. James Bond is set to go electric as luxury British sports car maker Aston Martin took the wraps off a new hybrid beefed-up coupe. Codenamed DBX, the two-door 4×4 grand tourer aimed at wealthy families was a surprise unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show, where the world’s car bosses are meeting. Although the car unveiled is an all-electric 4×4 with four separate motors at each wheel, Aston Martin’s final production version is set to be a four-door hybrid petrol-electric hatchback crossover. This is aimed more at Mr and Mrs Bond and their children than the suave superspy alone. It is set to hit showrooms within three years priced at around £160,000 with the aim of widening the brand’s appeal to a much wider audience. Range Rover Evoque Convertible Confirmed

Land Rover has confirmed production of the Range Rover Evoque Convertible, on sale in 2016, by releasing a unique underground testing film. One hundred and thirty-one feet below the streets of London, UK, the first prototype of the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible was granted exclusive access to the 26-mile (42km) network of Crossrail tunnels for a unique development test. Engineers were allowed the opportunity to drive the disguised Evoque Convertible with its roof lowered in complete privacy. The short film begins with the highly-capable convertible being lowered into the tunnel network by crane, before negotiating a range of obstacles through the 20 foot (6.2 meter) diameter tunnel. Murray Dietsch, Director of Land Rover Programs said, “The tunnels are still under construction, so we had a unique opportunity to explore the vehicle’s all-terrain ability in unchartered territory.”Land Rover will announce […]
