MINI is giving its largest model a tougher edge. The new MINI Countryman Untamed Edition adds increased ground clearance, specially developed all-terrain tyres and intelligent ALL4 all-wheel drive to the Countryman formula, along with exclusive design and equipment features aimed at buyers who split their time between daily driving and weekend escapes. A bespoke outdoor offering, including a MINI roof tent developed with Italian specialist AUTOHOME and an exclusive camping collection created with HELINOX, completes the package.
“Today, our customers are looking for a vehicle that supports them in everyday life just as confidently as it does on spontaneous getaways and longer journeys. That is exactly what inspired the Untamed Edition,” said Jean-Philippe Parain, Head of the MINI Brand. “It combines the hallmark MINI driving experience with even greater freedom to explore new places and discover more along the way.”

Depending on the market, the edition will be available at launch for the MINI Countryman C, Countryman D and Countryman S ALL4, as well as the all-electric Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4.
Real hardware, not just a look
The defining equipment is functional. New Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres mount on exclusive 19-inch Untamed Edition Spoke light-alloy wheels, their design inspired by classic off-road steel wheels. Textured protective films on the wheel arches, side sills and Power Dome guard against stone chips, while underbody protection elements in Dark Steel and an edition-specific Untamed logo with a stylised mountain motif on the C-pillar mark the car out.
A 15-millimetre suspension lift increases ground clearance by up to 19 millimetres depending on market and powertrain, with approach and breakover angles optimised to suit. The lift will be available on all Untamed Edition variants in the United States and Canada, while in Europe it is offered exclusively on the all-electric models. The all-terrain tyres are standard in North America, optional in Europe, and available as aftersales equipment elsewhere. ABS, DSC and steering have all been recalibrated for the revised setup.
An optional tow bar allows a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kilograms, and roof load is rated at up to 75 kilograms while driving and 300 kilograms when stationary – enough to make the AUTOHOME roof tent a practical option. The tent opens in seconds on integrated gas struts, with weather-resistant materials and panoramic openings. The HELINOX camping collection adds matching folding chairs and tables.

Earthy colours, outdoor-inspired cabin
“The Untamed Edition highlights qualities that are already part of the MINI Countryman’s DNA: robustness, versatility and a spirit of exploration,” said Holger Hampf, Head of MINI Design. “Our goal was to emphasise these characteristics through carefully selected colours, materials and details, while remaining true to the unmistakable MINI character.”
The front grille gets a new vertically oriented geometry with angular inserts, finished in the exclusive Dark Steel accent colour. Exterior paints draw on natural and mineral tones: the exclusive Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue and Frozen Nomad Blue are joined by Nanuq White and Midnight Black, with roofs in Glazed White or Jet Black. Frozen Nomad Blue is the first matt paint finish in MINI series production.
Inside, exclusive Vescin Nightshade Blue sports seats mix perforated upholstery with knitted shoulder and headrest surfaces patterned after rock formations, piped in Cornflower Blue. Knitted Millennial Melange surfaces cover the dashboard and door panels, interior accents switch from Vibrant Silver to Dark Steel, and rubber floor and luggage mats add everyday practicality.

Production of the MINI Countryman Untamed Edition begins in November 2026 at BMW Group Plant Leipzig, with the market launch scheduled for early 2027.
