*** Postponed to 2021 – details to be announced **** Annual Central U.S. gathering of all things MG sponsored by rotation chapters of the New England MG T Register. This area of West Michigan has pleasant surroundings, nice roads and cute small town atmosphere. Marshal is full of historic homes and buildings. Our host hotel even has a 50’s themed 24 hour diner onsite. Venue will include hospitality room, tech sessions, flea market, auction, and a banquet at the historic Win Schuler’s Restaurant. We will take a short tour to the famous Gilmore Classic Car Museum for our car show and Funkhana on Wednesday. Early registrations will also receive free entry to the Henry Ford/Greenfield Village Motor Muster the weekend preceding. A great Michigan vacation!

What to look forward to: 160 acre farm nestled in the Uwharrie Mountain Range with a large field to park and admire cars. 10 acre lake for fishing. The 10th Annual Tartan Day South Celebration is a four-day event honoring Celtic heritage in our area. The festival is an array of different events at many different venues featuring unique sports; incredible music; great foods; and interesting, interactive exhibitions. Nearly 85,000 patrons have attended Tartan Day South events since 2011.

The Connecticut MG Club’s “BRITISH BY THE SEA” is a fun gathering of people who own and appreciate British Vehicles of all Marques. Although we do present etched glass mug awards to vehicles selected by popular vote, “BRITISH BY THE SEA” is not a judged show. The host hotel is the Shilo Inn, 3701 South WS Young, Killeen, TX 76542, 254-699-0999. Registration for the “Convoy to Killeen” is now available at www.tmgr.org. On Thursday there will be a meet and greet reception, registration and the gathering in the parking lot around the cars. For early risers on Friday there will be a birding excursion. A caravan will take everyone to The Gin in Belton, TX for lunch. The afternoon will be dedicated to shopping in Killeen or swapping MG adventures. The Morgan Motor Company has launched an immersive 3D online configurator for its newest model, the Plus Six. Featuring high-fidelity graphics and the Plus Six’s extensive range of options, it makes the perfect tool both for customers to finalize the specification of their car, and for enthusiasts to imagine their dream Morgan. The Plus Six is the first Morgan to have been designed entirely using computer aided design (CAD), which has allowed the car to be modeled in the configurator with total accuracy. Combined with the integration of games development software and WebGL technology, it allows for a photo-realistic 3D representation of the car. The user can move the car to view it from any angle, and even zoom in to view its features in detail.

Aston Martin Racing’s presence at the pinnacle of US endurance motorsport is to be significantly increased, with the British sportscar manufacturer returning to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class in 2020. Two Aston Martin Vantage GT3s will contest the blue riband Rolex 24 at Daytona race next weekend (25-26 January), while new partner team Heart of Racing will run a full season program this year. Aston Martin Racing has entered a Vantage GT3 supported by NorthWest Healthcare in the Rolex 24, alongside Heart of Racing’s entry. The Morgan Motor Company is to celebrate 70 years of its most popular model, the Plus 4, with the creation of the Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition. First built in 1950, the Plus 4 is one of the company’s best-selling models throughout seven decades of production, and is admired by fans of Morgan worldwide. Morgan recently announced that models built on its famous steel chassis will cease production in 2020, and the Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition commemorates this important moment, too. This highly popular all-marque show is on the beautiful campus of Saint Mary’s College on the north side of South Bend, IN, across the street from the University of Notre Dame. The campus is small – take one of the two entry roads off US 31 Business (933N) and follow the signs. The Featured Marque is the Triumph TR-4, 4A, 250 & 6. Now in its 39th year, the Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio is an SVRA time-honored tradition. All vintage car classes are invited to experience the character and rich history of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Adding to the vintage excitement is the 2020 Kastner Cup, the annual gathering of Triumph race cars from all over the world.
