The British Car Club of Delaware is Celebrating 25 Years of the ‘British are Coming Again!’ Car Show – 1996 2020, sponsored by Lewes Chamber of Commerce held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 in historic Lewes, Delaware. The event is open to all British automobile enthusiasts many coming from the mid-Atlantic region such Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Virginia. This event offers an excellent opportunity for you to meet other British motorcar devotees.

The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is one of the world’s premiere motoring events. For one weekend every March, legendary personalities from every facet of motorsports gather along with hundreds of the world’s most beautiful, historic, and unique automobiles at the stunning Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. I would like to extend my personal invitation to all triumph enthusiasts to join COVTR in its celebration of the great Rt 66 and its legacy in Oklahoma. Our hotel will be the Hilton Garden Inn of Edmond just north of the current Route 66 by about 3 miles. We have planned to incorporate as many events as we can so that everyone can explore what Oklahoma has to offer. We will have the usual gimmick rally, autocross, funkana, and concourse but we are also planning on doing a walking tour of the local area and a simple TSD rally that requires no experience or calculators to compete in. The Panhandle British Car Association is hosting our 28th “Brits on the Bay” British Car Show on April 17th – 18th, 2019 in historic Pensacola Florida. The “Participants Choice Award” and Class Awards are determined by the votes of registered show participants. The “Best of Show Award” is a Judged Award. Each vehicle entered will receive a ballot and dash plaque placed in the car at noon. Voting closes at 2:00 pm and awards are at 3:30pm. There are approximately 26 classes as determined by pre-registration numbers and each class will be awarded a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophy as applicable. The annual event for the AMGCRA will be held in conjunction with the Pensacola British Car Association’s 28th Brits on the Bay in Pensacola. The event will include driving tours, visits to the Museum of Naval Aviation and the Pensacola Transportation Museum, the car show on Saturday and awards banquet. The host hotel will be the Best Western Beachside Resort.

Friday, Aston Martin Lagonda welcomed His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to its new manufacturing facility at St Athan in Wales. The visit was also enjoyed by a group of Aston Martin apprentices and school children from the local area who came along to see the new facility. Aston Martin Lagonda, St Athan now also bears a plaque, commemorating the Royal visit, which was presented to the team by His Royal Highness.

The Eighth Annual B.I.G. European Car Show (British, Italian & German) We have another opportunity this year for various clubs to have their members sharewith fellow enthusiasts and the public their enjoyment and experiences of owning a B.I.G.European sports or collector car. This car show is free to the public and open to all B.I.G.European sports and collector cars, vintage and modern, held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Participating cars can enter the show-field between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Voting closes at 12:00 noon. Participants will vote for their favorite cars within each class. Show ends at 2:00 pm. Awards presentation follows.

*** Rescheduled *** The 25th Red Mill British Car Day at the historic Red Mill Museum Village has space for a display of 100 British cars and motorcycles. Award classes will be determined by make and model of vehicles registered. There will also be a picnic basket competition. Pre-registration strongly encouraged, as there is only space for 100 vehicles. (All vehicles MUST be pre-registered. No cars accepted day of show.) Walk across the iron bridge to Clinton’s quaint shops and restaurants and experience the Hunterdon Art Museum. Spectator admission benefits the Red Mill Museum. *** Cancelled *** Hope Lodge is a Georgian-style manor dating to 1743, with rooms furnished in both the Colonial and Colonial Revival styles. The house and grounds are maintained by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Cars & Motorcycles of England, along with the Delaware Valley Jaquars Concours, returns this year to Hope Lodge, a historic home used by Continental troops during the American Revolution. This in an all-British marque judged motorcar and motorcycle concours AND a nationally-sanction Jaguar concours d’Elegance. Car Corral and Autojumble will be available. On January 30, 2020, Mr Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, Tata Motors and Jaguar Land Rover plc announced that Prof Sir Ralf Speth had decided to retire from his current role as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Land Rover at the end of his contract term in September 2020.

The new manufacturing facility where Lotus will build the Evija all-electric hypercar is being readied for final prototype production. Series production and first customer deliveries of the all-electric two-seater will begin in the summer.

 *** Cancelled *** The 36th annual British Bash will once again be held on the tree-shaded lawn of the St. Joseph Children’s Home, 2823 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. Registration opens at 9 AM, with trophies awarded around 3:30 PM. Each year we have approximately 150 – 200 participants. A variety of food trucks and vendors will be on hand. Visitors stroll through the rows of cars and listen to classic British music.

*** Cancelled *** This is the twenty-fourth anniversary of the North Carolina MG Car Club’s Triangle British Classic Car Show. It is being held again at North Hills, where there is something for everyone. This is a wonderful opportunity to see more than 125 cars representing over 60 years of British motoring history. Come join us for great family fun we are sure you will have a wonderful experience and a fun filled Saturday. There will be the car show, regalia for sale, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 drawing. There is no charge for spectators, who can also vote for their favorite car. Pick up a spectators ballot at the voting booth beside the Regalia table.
