And let’s – get – ready – for – SUMMER swap meet for British cars, parts, and related items. This meet is scheduled for the last Sunday in April to allow time to get your prize vehicles ready to DRIVE. Because of the success of our previous Autojumbles and the lack of British auto items at the much larger Portland Swap Meet, we are committed to making this an annual affair. (Remember, always the last Sunday in April) We are continuing with the same successful format; inexpensive for exhibitors, free to buyers, and not over-organized. The focus is on British car stuff only – no muscle cars, model “A” Fords, speed equipment, or antique or collectible glassware. Only British cars and car related items will be displayed. Our video of the week this time is from the 2016 Portland All British Field Meet. This year’s edition of the show will be held the first weekend in September. I attended this show back in 2005 (wow, that seems like a long time ago now!) and can attest to it being a great show. It not only has a large number of cars, somewhere in the 800 area, but is well managed and in a great location. In addition to the show itself, SOVREN’s Columbia River Classic is held on the same weekend at the adjacent race track. Two days of racing follow a limited test ‘n tune day on Friday.New this year is our stop on the CrossFlow Cup, a five-event West Coast series for Formula Fords.

Billed as the largest British car gathering west of the Mississippi, the Portland All-British Field Meet regularly draws well over 800 cars for the weekend long event. This year the meet will be held Friday, August 29 through Sunday, August 31, 2014.
