The Kimber Festival brings together enthusiasts who have a keen interest in M.G. history. Organized as an academic conference, the program consists of presentations about all M.G.s with topics that may include design and production, technical discussions, competitors and competitions and more. You do not need to be a NEMGTR member to present or attend. All MG enthusiasts are welcome! The registration desk for the Kimber Festival will open at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum. You will be able to take a relaxed tour of the facility during the afternoon. Once checked in at registration, those who wish to set up their Flea Market table will be able to do so. ORA’s British Car Day will be held once again on the third Saturday in July, this year the 20th.  The show will be The History of Flight and starts at 2 PM. British Cars are welcome to begin arriving at 10 AM and will be displayed on The Green amid the hangars.  For those who have never been to the Aerodrome, there are a number of museum buildings to wander, a snack bar with reasonably priced hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., and an opportunity to purchase rides in a 1929 New standard biplane. There is a nicely stocked gift shop and weather permitting, any number of interesting antique aircraft, autos, and motorcycles. For admission prices, see the group rates on the website. We hope to see an interesting assortment of British cars of all eras.

Tigers East/Alpines East’s United XXXVII will be held this year in Long Island from Sept. 13-16, 2018. Our Concours d’Elegance is being held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at North Hempstead Beach Park. Other British Car clubs (LBC’s) have also been invited to attend. There is no charge for admission. There will be an English DJ as well as food trucks and other vendors.

Since 1993, the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen presented by Chemung Canal Trust Company has celebrated our heritage of motor racing. A low key British Car Show with no judging, just a chance for collectible British car owners to get together and enjoy the Aerodrome’s WW I show honoring the one-hundredth anniversary of the end of the war. The show begins at 2 pm and runs to about 4 pm.  Gates open at 10 am and group admission will be charged for those showing their cars: Adults $20, Seniors (65+) and military $15, Ages 6-17 $5, 5 and under are free. Those who have not visited the Aerodrome before are urged to arrive early as there are a number of museum buildings featuring antique aircraft, autos, motorcycles, engines, model aircraft, and many other vintage aviation exhibits.

NEW EXPANDED SCOPE FOR 2018 TO INCLUDE TSD RALLY!! In 2018, we are providing entrants with two options: 1) A fun TSD Rally (time/speed/distance) available only to Ottawa and Cobourg Starters.  It will be suitable for beginners and experts alike.  The TSD rally will start on September 28 and finish on September 29 with an overnight stop in Belleville, ON.  The TSD Rally is only available to Ottawa and Cobourg Starters. It will include a number of TSD Rally Sections plus “Special Stages” including on-track sessions at Shannonville Motorsport Park.  Special Awards by class and finish will be provided on completion. Join more than 100 British car owners for a smashing display of classic, quirky, and lovable British classics, right in the heart of Woodstock, New York, and the Catskill Mountains. Cars will enter the field starting at 8:30 am, and the fun goes on all day. Around 2 pm, we’ll present awards, including People’s Choice and the Longest Distance Traveled. Spectators are welcome, and FREE parking is available. This week, our video features the performance of the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team at the Formula E races in New York. First of all, it is fun watching these cars tear around, but secondly, it is such a different auditory experience with the sound of electric motors instead of the internal combustion beasts. In front of the iconic Manhattan skyline, Panasonic Jaguar Racing claimed a vital championship point in the first of the NYCePrix Formula E races. Adam Carroll advanced three positions to finish 10th, whilst Mitch Evans sustained damage early in the race. The seventh annual Woodstock British Car Show, featuring more than 100 beautiful classic and modern cars, takes place Sunday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Woodstock Playhouse, 103 Mill Hill Road, Woodstock. Past shows have drawn vintage British cars from across the Eastern seaboard, including many MG, Triumph, Austin-Healey, Jaguar and Morgan sports cars from the 1930s through the 1980s. Other vehicles that have been showcased include luxury Bentleys and Rolls-Royces, sporting Rileys and ACs, and even Morris Minor Traveller “woodie” wagons.
