Significantly, all sales will again be open-to-public – subject to prevailing Covid-19 legislation – maintaining Historics’ policy of hosting traditional sales with a live auction hall, supported by its online bidding platform partner, Bidpath.

Historics Auctioneers founder and Managing Director, Mark Perkins, commented:

We were unique in hosting open-to-public classic car auctions throughout 2020 whilst complying with prevailing legislation.  They proved hugely popular and 2020 was actually our most successful year ever in terms of both sale rate and income. We remain absolutely committed to serve the classic community with live auctions provided conditions allow, supported by our online bidding.

On September 30th, 202-, the company announced its expansion into Europe with the Historics Monaco Classique sale on 23rd April 2021.

Talking of Historics expansion into Europe, Mark Perkins added: “It’s a logical development in our growth plans and has been tremendously well-received by the community as a whole, while the reception by vendors has been excellent.”

Historics Auctioneers 2021 opener is a major Spring offering of some 180 fine and varied classics, scheduled for Ascot Racecourse – scene of three Historics auctions in 2020 – on Saturday, 20th March.  A month later will see the company’s international debut as it stages a significant collector car sale in Monaco on Friday, 23rd April, immediately preceding the Monaco Historic F1 Grand Prix weekend.

Maintaining momentum, Historics then returns to the UK for its early summer sale in the familiar surroundings of Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands on Saturday, 15th May.  Two months later, on 17th July, the company’s 100-acre Windsorview Lakes site near Datchet again plays host to the high summer Historics sale, one year after its debut auction at the picturesque location.

Historics Auctioneers was founded in 2010 and has grown in the last decade to become one of the most significant and successful specialist classic car auctioneers in the UK.  Regular auctions of some 180 fine classic motorcars are staged during the year at Historics’ spiritual home, Brooklands Museum, Surrey and at Mercedes-Benz World, Ascot Racecourse, and Windsorview Lakes, Datchet.  Some 9,200 very varied classics have passed across Historics’ auction block at its 46 auctions to date.

25th September will see the Autumn sale at Historics spiritual home, Brooklands Museum, before its season finale, again at Mercedes-Benz World, on Saturday, 27th November.
