Vauxhall Celebrates British Roots With New ‘Brit’s What We Do’ Campaign

Vauxhall has launched ‘Brit’s What We Do’, a new advertising campaign celebrating the brand’s British roots and the people, places, and everyday moments that make up life in Britain. The campaign launched November 2 across video-on-demand and social media, with 60- and 30-second films showcasing Vauxhall cars and vans in familiar British settings.

Born in Britain in 1857, Vauxhall is the longest-running vehicle manufacturer continually producing vehicles in the UK, with its first single-cylinder, 5-horsepower car built in 1903. From providing practical, affordable mobility for families and businesses to supporting communities across the country, Vauxhall has been helping people move for more than 120 years, becoming part of the fabric of the nation.

The ‘Brit’s What We Do’ films capture the familiar moments and shared experiences that bring people together, from the morning school run and the lollipop person to a playful reference to the cryptid Loch Ness Monster. Vauxhall says the campaign platform will provide a consistent thread across its communications, reflecting the brand’s longstanding connection to Britain and its commitment to keeping mobility accessible and affordable.

British manufacturing is also central to the campaign. The 60-second film features the Combo Electric van, built at the Ellesmere Port plant in Cheshire, the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant. The Combo Electric proudly displays the official ‘Made in Britain’ trademark on the rear of the van as Vauxhall renews its partnership with the trade organisation, demonstrating the brand’s continued investment in Britain’s automotive future.

“Vauxhall was born in Britain and has been mobilising the nation for more than 120 years,” said Clare White, Vauxhall Marketing Director. “‘Brit’s What We Do’ celebrates our British roots and our loyal customers, recognising the resilience, humour, and determination that are part of everyday life across the country. At the heart of what we do is a commitment to making mobility practical and affordable, while continuing to invest in British manufacturing and the future of the automotive industry in the UK.”

Vauxhall’s partnership with Team GB also features in the campaign, with ambassadors Caden Cunningham (taekwondo), Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix (diving), Emma Finucane MBE (track cycling), and Jake Jarman (gymnastics) appearing in the creative. Vauxhall is the official automotive partner of Team GB, supporting athletes as they prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

‘Brit’s What We Do’ marks a new chapter for Vauxhall, following the introduction of the new Griffin emblem. As a long-term creative platform, the campaign will continue to celebrate British identity, the communities Vauxhall serves, and the role of accessible, affordable mobility in modern Britain.
