There will be activities, awards, and competition specific for each branch of the Healey family! British Transportation Museum 13th Annual Meet – Dayton, Ohio

The British Transportation Museum in Dayton, Ohio will hold its 13th annual British Car Meet on Saturday May 28, 2016.  The Location will be the same as last year with the Meet at the South side of the building at 32 Webster Street, home of “TOP of the Market Banquet and Event Center” in downtown Dayton. The Meet runs from 9AM to 3PM. Car registration is $15 in before May 21st and $18 after May 21st. Registration will be limited to the first 100 cars.

18th Annual British Return to Fort Meigs Car Show

The Lake Erie British Car Club will be hosting their 18th annual car show ‘The British Return to Fort Meigs’ at the Fort Meigs Historical Site. The show runs from The show runs from 10am to 3pm. After viewing and voting on your favorite British vehicles, you will have opportunities to tour the restored fort from the War of 1812 and its museum, eat lunch at one of the food vendors or shop at one of the vendors. Report on Dayton Sunbeam Convention

Tigers East / Alpines East had a huge crowd at their Rootes United XXXIV in Dayton Ohio last the first weekend of August.  Nearly 90 Sunbeams and over 170 people attended.  Below is a time lapse video of owners leaving for the show last Saturday morning. Note the two Harrington’s in the first two parking spots. This show was held in conjunction with the Dayton British car show. With the 90 Sunbeam cars, they had a total of 370 British cars at the show which made a new record for them.  Another record for them was the long distance award which was given to a couple from the Sunbeam club who drove their Tiger from British Columbia 2800 miles to attend! 31st Annual Dayton British Car Day

The 31st annual British Car Day in Dayton, Ohio, billed as the “Midwest’s best British car and motorcycle show” will be held on August 1, 2015.  This is a Saturday, and the show will run from 9 am to 4 pm at Eastwood MetroPark, 1385 Harshman Rd., Dayton, OH 45431 Make plans now to attend as there will be a popular vote car show, vendors & swap meet, full-service concession stand, dash plaques to first 325 entrants, spectators admitted free, and children’s activities. Are you aware of the British Transportation Museum‘s efforts to raise funds to buy and refurbish a building?  The British Transportation Museum was founded in 1998 by Dick Smith, Mike Edgerton, and Mike Smith as they began to sketch out a museum concept for the education and preservation of British Transportation in America. The Museum is celebrating its 17th Anniversary in 2015. Sunbeam Gathering – Rootes United XXXIV

Sunbeam Alpines and Tigers unite! Preparations are underway for Rootes United XXXIV to be held in Dayton, Ohio July 30-August 2, 2015. This event is being hosted by Tigers East / Alpines East. “The purpose of Tigers East/Alpines East is to promote interest in the Sunbeam Marque, in general, and the Tiger/Alpine segment in particular; to aid in the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of these vehicles; to promote cooperation among other similar Sunbeam organizations; and to increase communication and fellowship among those persons so inclined.” Thursday will be arrival day with registration, parts room, and hospitality room set up.
