JLR Classic Expands with Centers in Germany

Jaguar Land Rover Classic is accelerating its global expansion strategy with the opening of a brand-new Classic Centre in Germany – the first facility of its kind outside the UK. The new Classic Centre in Essen is directly operated by Jaguar Land Rover Classic, providing factory service in Germany. In addition, the company is also introducing a service to support classic car enthusiasts seeking pre-owned Jaguar Land Rover classic vehicles using the new ‘Works Legends’ online portal available at www.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/workslegends.

Jaguar has won Germany’s top car award, the Golden Steering Wheel. The Jaguar XF was voted ‘Best Saloon’ in the Mid-Full-size category, ahead of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Volvo S90. Jaguar had further reason to celebrate in the Large SUV category, with the F-PACE taking second place.

Bentley Successful at Jochpass Memorial and Historic-Rallye

Bentley Motors enjoyed an exciting and successful weekend at the 18th Jochpass Memorial and Historic-Rallye in Bad Hindelang, Germany. A total of ten Bentley teams competed with their historic Bentleys in the world-renowned classics event between 6 and 8 October, including the Team ‘Blower’, R-Type Continental, Speed 6 and a Bentley 4,5 Litre Le Mans.

Aston Martin has once again celebrated success with its Vanquish in the latest readers’ vote for the “Best Cars 2016” held by renowned German automotive magazine auto motor und sport. The 2016 awards were presented on Thursday in Stuttgart and decided entirely via readers’ votes, the Aston Martin Vanquish was awarded first place in the Sports Cars Import category.

Aston Martin Vantage Named “Classic Car of Future”

Aston Martin has once again confirmed its position as the most popular car brand in Germany. Readers of the renowned title Auto Bild Klassik voted the V12 Vantage S Roadster “Classic Car of the Future”. For the sixth year in succession, Auto Bild Klassik has presented Europe’s most important Classic Award. 98 candidates were nominated in 13 categories. The award ceremony took place in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg on October 20th. Mark Kenworthy, Regional Director European Operations of Aston Martin Lagonda of Europe, says: “We are very proud to once again receive this important award. British sportscar manufacturer, Caterham Cars, is partnering with dealership Westside Cars, expanding its European dealer network to Hamburg, Germany. The dealership launch further strengthens Caterham’s presence in one of its key markets, Germany. Bentley at the 2015 Nürburgring 24-Hours

This weekend, Bentley Motorsport has experienced the toughest and most challenging 24 hour race in the world at Germany’s Nürburgring. After a very positive start that saw all three Continental GT3s entered in the race running in the top ten after two hours, the fortunes of the team changed. First, the #85 car of Guy Smith, Andy Meyrick and Steven Kane was hit and spun off the track, costing a total of five hours of recovery and repair time and dropping the team out of contention. However, after repairs, the car was one of the quickest on track for the rest of the race, climbing 72 places before the chequered flag to finish P74.
