Aston Martin has released a new video of the V8 DB11. The V8-powered DB11 is the first Aston Martin to receive an engine supplied by technical partners, Mercedes-AMG. Producing 510PS (503BHP) and 675Nm of torque, the V8 engine’s potency is beyond question, propelling the DB11 from 0-62mph in just 4.0sec and on to a top speed of 187mph. The inherent qualities of this light, compact and characterful power unit make it the ideal choice to sit alongside the existing V12 engine.

After its successful global introduction in 2016, Aston Martin’s definitive GT – the acclaimed DB11 – is now available with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Producing 510PS (503BHP) and 675Nm of torque, the V8 engine’s potency is beyond question, propelling the DB11 from 0-62mph in just 4.0sec and on to a top speed of 187mph. This exceptional performance is matched by impressive efficiency: CO2 emissions of 230g/km and an EU Combined fuel economy figure of 28.5mpg. This new V8 derivative brings further significant benefits in markets where car taxation policy is structured around engine capacity, such as China.

Aston Martin Reports Strong Q1 Results

Aston Martin Holdings UK Ltd is reporting record first quarter results as strong orders for its flagship DB11 model helped more than double revenues from £92.6 million to £188.3 million, with a pre-tax profit of £5.9 million reversing prior-year losses of £29.7 million. Demand for the DB11 sports car and other specialist models coincided with the company’s completion of a £550 million refinancing to enhance liquidity, reduce borrowing costs and increase financial reserves. Meanwhile, a strong retail performance and market share gains, particularly in the UK and China, reflect growing confidence and awareness of the brand.

Today at the Aston Martin Engine Plant (AMEP) in Cologne, Germany, just such a landmark has been reached with the DB11’s new 5.2L twin-turbo V12 entering full production. Designed in-house this new engine develops 608PS and 700Nm of torque, making DB11 the most powerful production DB model ever.
