London, 22 October 2026 – Caterham, the British manufacturer of the legendary Seven, has confirmed it will exhibit at the London International Motor Show 2027, appearing in the show’s Built in Britain zone at ExCeL London from 26 to 28 February 2027.

Caterham, maker of the legendary Seven in Britain since 1973, will bring a selection of its cars to stand 1920, giving visitors the chance to get close to one of the purest driving machines made anywhere in the world. Few cars sum up the British sports car as clearly as a Seven: light, simple, hand built in Kent and engineered around the driver.
Built in Britain is the show’s tribute to the designers, engineers and craftspeople who keep this country at the forefront of the car industry. Britain’s specialist sports car makers are small in scale and enormous in influence, building cars with a character and focus that the world’s largest manufacturers admire and enthusiasts everywhere want to own. The zone gives them a stage in the capital, in front of a national audience.
“Caterham is exactly the kind of company Built in Britain was created to celebrate,” said Stephen Maitland-Oxley, Event Director of the London International Motor Show. “The Seven is a British icon, and the team behind it has spent more than 50 years proving that lightness, ingenuity and sheer driving fun never go out of fashion. Britain’s niche sports car makers are a national asset and we are delighted to give them the spotlight they deserve. Having Caterham with us is a wonderful way to set the tone for the zone.”

“At its core, the Caterham Seven is engineered to deliver a driving experience that is as pure, enjoyable and rewarding to the driver, as any car on sale today,” said Trevor Steel, Senior Vice President Operations at Caterham Cars. “Since its inception by Colin Chapman nearly 70 years ago, and since becoming a Caterham in 1973, the Seven has always been proudly built here in Britain, and this is heritage we’re always wishing to celebrate. Built in Britain is a natural home for us, and we are looking forward to meeting enthusiasts, owners and a new generation of drivers in London next February.”
The London International Motor Show 2027 runs alongside Motorsport Expo and Car Culture UK. One combined ticket covers all three, and around 90,000 visitors are expected across the weekend. Friday 26 February is the press and trade day, running alongside the public opening. The show previously ran from 2016 to 2019. Tickets and exhibitor information are available at londonmotorshow.com.
Caterham has produced lightweight, two-seater sports cars since 1973, when Graham Nearn acquired the tooling, designs and exclusive rights to the Seven from Lotus founder Colin Chapman. The British manufacturer produces its cars exclusively in the UK and is headquartered in Dartford, Kent, where it has built cars in both assembled and kit-build form since 1987. Caterham is owned by Japanese retail group VT Holdings, which has served as a Caterham importer since 2009.
