Chicagoland 25th Annual All Sports Car Swap Meet and Autojumble
DuPage County Fairgrounds 2015 Manchester Rd, Wheaton, IL, United StatesSince 1997 the Chicagoland MG Club swap meet has been held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois in early spring. The site is an indoor heated facility that is centrally located approximately 30 miles due west of downtown Chicago. There will be a food vendor on-site and an ATM in the building. We have reserved our usual date and buildings in the expectation that Covid related group restrictions will not preclude it. At this time, a requirement for indoor masking is the only restriction in effect at our site. However, due to the continuing uncertainty of restrictions for group gatherings, vendors and shoppers alike should monitor this site for any updates as to whether or not we will be able to conduct the Swap on March 27, 2022. This year’s Featured Marque is the MGB Roadster, 1962 to 1974 (chrome bumper cars)in celebration of the MGB’s 60th Anniversary. We look forward to participation from local MG clubs and welcome their members and cars on our show field! Make plans to pay us a visit, whether you are displaying your car, or just coming to enjoy the event. In past years, we have had over 250 vehicles on our show field with over 2,000 spectators in attendance.

70th Annual Rallye Glenwood Spring – Colorado

MG GOF Central 2022 – La Crosse, WI

MGs will be present from the six clubs that represent the Central organization. All models of MGs are welcome. In addition to these cars, GOF Central 2022 will be the National Meet for the North American MMM Register. Some cars at this event will be 90 years old – and still running. Put-In-Bay Historic Sports Car Races – Ohio
Put-in-Bay, Ohio Put-in-Bay, OH, United StatesThe races were held back in the early 1950s through about 1962 or so with perhaps a year or two omitted. The races were originally conducted on the public roads on the small island in Lake Erie just north of the north coast of Ohio. The races were re-invented about 10 years ago. But rather than racing on the public roads they now race on a temporary race course set up on the airport runways and taxiways. Racing classes are designed to bring in mostly 3.0 liter and smaller engine race cars. And they restrict vehicles to those built before 1970 (generally). I have spectated and more recently now serve as a safety team representative (tow disabled race cars off the track).
