We just received the following notice about the British By The Sea car show in Connecticut.
Well, here we go again!!! This damn Covid -19 just won’t give us a break!
We had a Ct MG Club British By The Sea Planning Committee meeting this week, and in light of the continuing uncertainty regarding the COVID 19 epidemic, a decision was reached to reschedule the Gathering to Sunday, August 29, 2021.
In discussions with personnel at the Harkness Memorial State Park and with the Park Special Use Coordinator from the State of CT, it was determined that it was not in everyone’s best interest to continue moving forward using our original June 6th date. Based on the current guidelines we are aware of, the restrictions as to crowd sizes would be too confining to allow us to produce a successful gathering.
The Aug 29th BBTS will be a Socially Distanced “COVID Version”, keeping a social distance of 10 ft between each car in order to keep everyone safe. It will also be mandatory that ALL attendees wear proper masks. All of our Food Vendor order lines will be Socially Distanced.
To use our Display Field area most effectively with this social distance, cars will be parked in rows in the order that they arrive without separate Classes. The exception to this will be that we will still have Classes for British MOTORCYCLES and our Marque of the Year MODIFIED MG. These will be the only two voting Classes.
If groups of cars want to be parked together, please arrange to arrive at the same time, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Updates will be posted on www.CTMGCLUB.COM and on our FaceBook page CONNECTICUT MG CLUBThanks for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you there.
