Bespoke Artwork Auction for WeSeeHope

A one-off piece of artwork, created by world-renowned motoring artist Tim Layzell for Classic & Sports Car – The London Show, is being auctioned in support of the event’s chosen charity, WeSeeHope.

All proceeds from the auction, run by Silverstone Auctions, will go to WeSeeHope, a charity which supports vulnerable young people in sub-Saharan Africa. WeSeeHope is the official charity for the first-ever Classic & Sports Car – The London Show and the auction is just one of the ways the event is supporting the organisation.

CLASSIC & SPORTS CAR – THE LONDON SHOW TO AUCTION BESPOKE ARTWORK FOR CHARITY WESEEHOPE

The bespoke artwork – which anyone can bid on by heading to – depicts three legendary British cars, a Jaguar E-type, Bentley Speed Six and McLaren F1, at the show’s home of Alexandra Palace. These cars, together with seven others, have been the subject of a global poll to name the Best British Car Ever. All ten will be at Alexandra Palace with the winner being named at the show.

Painted in Layzell’s signature style, the striking poster has been reproduced and used across all marketing and promotional material for the show – but the auction will feature the original, one-off artwork.

The London Car ShowJames Elliott, Classic & Sports Car magazine group editor, said: “We’re very pleased indeed that the first Classic & Sports Car – The London Show will be supporting such an important cause. Through this silent auction, and the event itself, we hope to raise significant funds for WeSeeHope, helping the charity to continue its amazing work with children and young adults affected by HIV and AIDS.”

Phil Wall, on behalf of the charity WeSeeHope, said: “We’d like to thank the organisers of Classic & Sports Car – The London Show for choosing us as the official charity for the event, along with Tim Layzell and Silverstone Auctions for their support with the silent auction itself.

“The money raised will be used to help a generation of young people who have been the victims of incredible tragedy – but refuse to give up hope.”
