Aston Martin has been revealed as the world’s fastest-growing automotive brand of 2018 by Brand Finance, the leading independent business valuation and strategy consultancy. The 2018 Brand Finance Auto & Tyres Report, which was launched today, shows that the luxury car manufacturer’s brand value is up 268% to US$3.6 billion, leaping from #77 in the overall ranking to #24. Bentley Reigns Supreme in Road to Saigon Rally

The 1925 Bentley Super Sports of Graham and Marina Goodwin reigned supreme on the Endurance Rally Association’s The Road to Saigon rally. Holding their lead on the Vintageant category from the start line in Singapore right the way to the finish in Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City as it is now known. Former Peking to Paris entrant Andrew Webster and his co-driver Ian Robertson took second place in their 1939 Chevrolet Master 85. Rallying over 8,600kms in 27-days, around 35 crews took on a series of challenging regularity and speed trials as they journeyed through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

Jaguar Unveils the All-Electric I-PACE

Today, the Jaguar I-PACE, the first all-electric production vehicle from the Jaguar brand, has been unveiled to the world in a live webcast. Clean, smart and offering a wealth of driver assistance features, the Jaguar I-PACE delivers sports car performance, artificial intelligence (AI) enabled technologies and five-seat SUV practicality. British comedian and actor, Jack Whitehall, self-proclaimed EV enthusiast and TV presenter Jonny Smith and American tech guru iJustine, hosted a special live show as the first I-PACE rolled off the production line in at the Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing facility in Graz, Austria, where the car will be built.

JLR North America Reports February US Sales

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC today reported February 2018 U.S. sales: Land Rover sales increased 19 percent to 6,828 units from 5,747 in February 2017; Jaguar sales were 2,185 units, a 37 percent decrease from 3,484 units in February 2017; Jaguar Land Rover February U.S. sales for both brands hit 9,013 units, a slight decrease from 9,231 units in February 2017. We are pleased to have our best ever February retail month in the U.S. for Land Rover and second best for the combined brands. E-Type UK – one of the leading authorities for all things Jaguar E-Type – has opened a brand new, state-of-the-art bodyshop at its Kent headquarters to bring all operations in-house and ensuring every demand can be met to the highest standards. The Hadlow-based company identified the need to have a fully-fledged bodyshop on site to ensure it delivers the very best service in one place. To accommodate the expansion, the decision was taken to move the showroom to an adjoining building which allowed more cars to be displayed. Later this year work will commence to further redevelop the showroom area in order to enhance the customer experience.

SAIC Motor Corporation Registers 6.8 Per Cent Growth

SAIC Motor Corporation, the seventh largest automobile manufacturer globally and China’s largest automaker, sold 6.93 million vehicles in the calendar year 2017. The company registered an overall growth of 6.8 percent compared to 6.49 million vehicles sold in the year-ago period. SAIC’s self-owned passenger car brands MG and Roewe became the new engines for growth, driving more than 50% of SAIC’s overall sales growth in 2017. Sales of MG and Roewe surged 62 percent at over 520,000 units in 2017.

The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Apprenticeship Program provides the opportunity to learn and develop skills at the Home of the world’s leading luxury manufacturer. The apprenticeships last for up to four years and include college and university courses that are nationally recognized, alongside on-the-job training at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
