The result is truly unique – it’s the only Discovery in the world that has a toaster in the center console and a rotisserie driven by the power take off. Other ingenious features include a slow-cooker that sits beside the engine, a pasta maker, a gas hob and a deployable dining table and worktop. There are even a herb garden and spice rack in the rear windows.

This week, Land Rover North America launched its marketing campaign to introduce the new 2017 Land Rover Discovery, the brand’s most versatile and capable SUV. Led by the 30-second television commercial featuring the Land Rover Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR) sailing team, the U.S. campaign includes interactive media partnerships with The New York Times, Travel Channel and CNN’s “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown,” as well as experiential and influencer activities.

Jaguar Land Rover celebrated its best March sales in its history with Jaguar sales up 68% to 9,484 and Land Rover achieving 22,283 sales, up by 14% percent, driven by a raft of new models.

In the ad, Olympic hero Sir Ben Ainslie battles a desert sandstorm to reach his Land Rover BAR sailing team. The 60-second advert was directed by Ridley Scott Associates’ Jake Scott and will be aired for the first time in the UK during the break of ITV’s coverage of the RBS Six Nations’ game between Ireland and Italy, at 2pm local time on Saturday 11 February. Later that day, on the same channel, the advert will be shown again during The Voice at 8pm local time. It celebrates the new Discovery going on sale in the UK with prices from £43,495.
The Land Rover Discovery has added yet another accolade to its enviable roll of honor by scooping the inaugural ‘Best Used SUV’ award at the annual Car Dealer Used Car Awards. The award adds to the Discovery’s enviable and diverse roll of honor already topping 85 awards globally including ‘Tow Car of the Decade’ awarded in June of this year by the jurors of the annual Tow Car Awards.
