The Jaguar F-PACE is officially the best and most beautiful car in the world after double success at the 2017 World Car Awards, scooping the prestigious World Car of Year and World Car Design of the Year titles. The performance SUV is the fastest selling model Jaguar has produced and is only the second vehicle to claim the historic double in the 13-year history of the World Car Awards. To win the pair of trophies, the F-PACE saw off the competition in a vote of 75 influential motoring journalists from 24 countries.

Rising stars wishing to be considered for this year’s Autocar Great British Women in the Car Industry shortlist must be nominated by 3 April. Run by Autocar, in association with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and backed by Direct Line Group, Ford and Jaguar Land Rover, the aim of the event is to identify and promote the sector’s most promising female rising stars and highlight the career opportunities within the industry.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC is proud to announce the 32 U.S. retailer winners of the 2016/17 Pride of Jaguar and Land Rover Pinnacle Retailer Excellence awards.   The Pride of Jaguar and Land Rover Pinnacle awards are given annually to retailers who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. Last year, sixteen retailers were selected from each brand based upon their top performance in core business categories including customer advocacy, sales, and business excellence.

The Jaguar F-PACE is among the finalists for the World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year crowns at the 2017 World Car Awards. Jaguar’s performance SUV is one of three cars on the shortlist announced at the Geneva Motor Show. The winner will be revealed at the New York International Auto Show on 13 April based on the votes of a 75-strong judging panel.

The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE has been named Best Luxury Utility vehicle by the nationally broadcast television series MotorWeek as part of its annual Drivers’ Choice Awards. Presented during the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, these awards recognize the best new cars and trucks throughout the industry. Designed and engineered to offer the agility, responsiveness, and refinement that all Jaguar models are renowned for, the F-PACE has taken Jaguar DNA and added enhanced practicality and space. The Drivers’ Choice Award is the latest in an ever-growing list of industry honors that the F-PACE has received since its 2016 introduction, and acknowledges the brand’s successful delivery of a performance SUV that truly resonates with consumers.

Jaguar and the Guild of Motoring Writers have marked 50 years of the Sir William Lyons Award at a celebration dinner in central London. Guests included Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum, Sir William Lyons’s grandson Michael Quinn, Guild Vice President Ray Hutton and former winners of the award – plus the latest winner, Heléna Hicks. Heléna, aged 18 from Colchester, is a keen motorsport fan and aspiring journalism student. Her entry for the 2016 Sir William Lyons Award included an interview with Colombian GP3 driver Tatiana Calderón. She has just begun a placement at Autosport magazine as a junior reporter.

MG Motor UK has announced the winners of its 2017 Annual Dealer Awards. The event, which took place on 12 January as part of the company’s national conference, celebrated outstanding achievement from across the network. Nathaniel MG took home the prestigious Dealer of the Year accolade, alongside being named Top MG3 Selling Dealer. Part of the network since 2015, the Bridgend-based business was recognised for delivering exceptional service for customers across South Wales. 

The judges at the What Car? Awards, one of the most important measures of success in the automotive calendar, have once again declared Ghost the best super-luxury car in the world, completing a hat-trick of victories for Ghost family motor cars in its most prestigious category, luxury cars over £100,000. In awarding Ghost Extended Wheelbase the What Car? judges praised the car for its perfect marriage of driving dynamics and supremacy as the consummate entrepreneurs limousine: Designed as the Rolls-Royce for the owner who’d prefer to spend some time in the driver’s seat, the Ghost offers the class and attention-to-detail the brand is famous for. The Jaguar F-PACE has been named Best Large Crossover in the UK Car of the Year Awards 2017. It will now feature in the final shortlist for the overall UK Car of the Year Award which will be announced in February. The UK Car of the Year judging panel is made up of 27 of the UK’s leading motoring journalists, with representatives from publications including Top Gear, Auto Express, Autocar and Car.  

The British Sports Car Hall of Fame was established by Moss Motors as an independent entity in 2016 to preserve and perpetuate the legacy and impact of these legendary vehicles and to honor the men and women responsible for their success. Induction into the Hall of Fame is reserved for those who have made a significant and lasting impact on the British sports car industry and hobby, making it a singular honor for a lifetime of achievement. By celebrating the memory of the dedicated individuals that played key roles, the Hall can serve as a touchstone for British sports car enthusiasts of all ages and interests, furthered by its various preservation and education initiatives.

Jaguar has won Germany’s top car award, the Golden Steering Wheel. The Jaguar XF was voted ‘Best Saloon’ in the Mid-Full-size category, ahead of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Volvo S90. Jaguar had further reason to celebrate in the Large SUV category, with the F-PACE taking second place.

Jaguar has picked up two Scottish Car of the Year Awards, with the F-PACE named ‘SUV of the Year’ and the XF crowned ‘Luxury Car of the Year’. The accolades mark a decade of success for Jaguar at the annual awards, with the brand collecting 15 wins since 2006, and every new Jaguar winning an award since 1999. These awards are the latest in a line of major UK industry honours for the XF and F-PACE, with the British-built saloon having won seven accolades since its launch just over a year ago, and the F-PACE named Auto Express ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Best Premium SUV’ by Telegraph Cars since its April introduction.

Bentley’s design team, under the leadership of Director of Design, Stefan Sielaff, has collected the ‘Team of the Year’ award at the prestigious Automotive Brand Contest, hosted by the German Design Council. The judging panel praised the team’s ‘passion, expertise and joy’ in creating outstanding models, and noted how Bentley’s design approach is successfully future-proofing the luxury brand.

MG cars have won further positive accolades from two of Britain’s leading car magazines. Both Autocar and Auto Express have showered praise on the value-for-money of MG cars, with the MG3 being singled out as a “24-carat bargain” across the entire new car market. In an Autocar special investigation to find the best value cars in Britain, the highly-respected motoring guru Andrew Frankel, wrote: “Just one of our selected candidates charges less than £100 for a single horsepower, that car being the astonishingly cheap MG3, the best bang-for-buck value car not just in this class, but also across them all.”

Auto Express magazine has awarded MINI two sought-after honours at the publication’s annual New Car Awards. MINI Hatch was awarded ‘Best Premium Small Car’ for the third consecutive year, retaining its position at the front of the competitive pack. Also enjoying its moment in the spotlight, the new MINI Convertible was awarded the publication’s ‘Best Convertible’ title.

The Rolls-Royce Dawn has been named 2016 ‘Design of the Year’ by Robb Report in its inaugural Cars of the Year awards, just weeks after the new convertible received global acclaim during its international launch in Cape Town, South Africa. The world’s most uncompromising open-top motoring experience, Dawn redefines the notion of a true super-luxury drophead and has won plaudits from some of the most highly respected international commentators.

Bentley’s Bentayga has been named SUV of the Year by Robb Report UK. A panel of automotive experts for this leading luxury title singled out the new Bentley Bentayga during the judging process for being ‘truly ground-breaking’. Erin Baker, Automotive Editor at Robb Report UK, commented: “The Bentayga creates a whole new segment: the ultra-luxury SUV. It far exceeds the nature of other luxury SUV’s in every respect. Where else in the world would you find such craftsmanship, other than the workshop in Crewe?”

MG Motor UK has once again proven its place on the road after motorists ranked both the MG3 and MG6 within the top five in their respective vehicle segments in this year’s Auto Express Driver Power customer satisfaction survey. Drivers’ voting placed the super-fun MG3 fifth in the supermini segment, demonstrating that this fantastic car is deservedly up there with others in its class. The MG6 swept up a bronze award in the family car segment for a second year in a row. Retaining its reputation for road handling, the medium-sized fastback also moved up two places from last year to finish second amongst all models in the road handling judging category.
