Well, The Amelia, formerly the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is over for another year. This is the first year that the show has been run by its new owners, Hagerty. There were a few bumps along the way, as can always be expected, but overall it was a great show. And I will tell you, the cars were simply amazing. The rarity of some of the machinery and the overall level of presentation are without par. If you want your jaw to drop at every turn, you need to visit this event. You also need to wear your walking shoes and drink lots of water!

Another thing you will find at shows like this is superb vendors. While it is always good to meet up with old friends like Sharron Spurlin of Automobilia Resource Magazine, finding new and unexpected artists, artisans, and shopkeepers is always fun. Sometimes it is that joy of finding things that you didn’t even know existed that brings the most fun.

I will be running a ton more pictures over the next few weeks – taken both by me and our friend-photographer of the site Kat Kurkov – but wanted to give you a little taste now. If you would like to see a constantly updated stream of pictures we take, make sure to check out the Just British Instagram feed.

On some site and newsletter issues, we have added a ton of events. Thanks to everyone who sent them in, and please keep them coming! I got a few more in over the weekend, and those will appear this week. Also thanks for the co-pilot pictures! Keep those coming too because people love them. Something special coming to that area soon, so stay tuned. And, as you will notice, the full news feed has returned.
Let’s just hope all of the pieces fall into place and all the components work. I trust that if they don’t, you will let me know. I am trying to new automation components as well as some backend changes to make things easier to update and so more quickly get info to you. Cross your fingers
