They were part of the post-war road racing group that started at Watkins Glen in 1948. Sam was killed at Watkins Glen in 1950. Watkins Glen will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the MG Vintage Racers (MGVR). The pairing of our 40th birthday and the renewal of the Collier Cup’s 36th birthday promises to be a weekend of celebration. The race is in conjunction with the SVRA Vintage Grand Prix.

Each year the BCD averages 170 British cars and 400 attendees. The show raises money for the Aubrey Rose Foundation that benefits families of sick children. There are 35 classes and 70+ awards. Sunbeams International 2021 – Missouri

The most recent was held in 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was a tremendous success, with attendees coming from as far away as Florida, Atlanta, and British Columbia. New England British Reliability Run 2021
Begun in 2002 by Blake Discher of Detroit with help from John Macartney and based on similar events in the UK, the ABRR is a three-day drive for charity in British cars. It is not a race and is run on public roads at posted speeds. It is not a rally as there are no checkpoints or deliberately vague instructions. It is an endurance test of sorts, intended to be challenging but fun for the participants, and to see just how reliable these supposedly “unreliable” British cars really are.
