Jaguar First Adds F-TYPE to UK Youth Driving Experience

Jaguar has created the ultimate young driver experience, with its updated Jaguar First program, allowing 11-17 year-olds to get behind the wheel of an F-TYPE four-cylinder sports car, capable of 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds. The addition of F-PACE, Jaguar’s fastest selling car ever, also gives youngsters the rare chance to take lead as designated driver, whilst their parent or guardian enjoys resting in the back seat for once!


Bentley Recognized as Top Employer for Young

Bentley Motors has been recognized as a top employer for young people at the UK School Leavers’ Awards, as voted for by apprentices. Bentley’s apprenticeship program collected four awards in total, resulting in a 2nd overall national ranking of best employers for school leavers, and the highest position in the automotive industry.

Sad Ending to a Car Club

Just came across this troubling story from the Bay of Plenty Times in New Zealand. While the story of the demise of this car club is sad enough in and of itself, there is some thought that we may see this happening more any more. And not just in the classic car hobby. Many hobbyists in areas from model trains to surfing have voice that opinion that folks just aren’t as interested in joining clubs these days or getting together for physical meetings. Rolls-Royce Celebrates Race Series Success

A closely-guarded partnership between Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and a team of budding racers finally broke cover on Sunday. The venerable environs of the Goodwood Motor Circuit did little to intimidate this team of maverick designers, engineers and drivers who produced a highly encouraging performance despite the wet track conditions. The car, a specially engineered electric racer, reached speeds of 8mph as it made short work of a track that has proved the scourge of some of the most revered names in motor racing history. From practice through to the final race, the twin-battery 24 volt power-unit and aero package worked in perfect harmony. Aston Martin Evolution Academy Lineup Announced

The 2015 Aston Martin Racing Evolution Academy squad has been unveiled at the manufacturer’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire UK and includes stars of the future who will race in four of the world’s top national and international GT championships.
