Caterham sales grew by a further 8% in 2017, with 667 orders taken over the 12-month period. Not only that but the additional 51 sales registered last year helped the British manufacturer secure its best sales figures in 21 years and contributed towards a second consecutive year of sales growth. The achievement rounded off a magnificent 60th anniversary year for the Seven with the landmark moment being the 60 limited edition retro-racer Seven SuperSprints selling out in a record seven hours at Goodwood Revival.
British sports car manufacturer, Caterham, celebrated 60 years of its revered Seven by bringing together some of the most esteemed examples in its history. Powering around the twists and turns of the Longcross test track was the original Lotus Seven Series 1. Reaching a top speed of 78mph and featuring a Ford 100E engine and aluminum bodywork, the Series 1 was the ideal, lightweight sports car when it was launched by Colin Chapman in 1957.
British sportscar manufacturer, Caterham Cars, is partnering with dealership Westside Cars, expanding its European dealer network to Hamburg, Germany. The dealership launch further strengthens Caterham’s presence in one of its key markets, Germany. The showroom in Hamburg will display the full European range of Caterham’s iconic British sportscars, including the Seven 165, the brand-new Seven 275, and the Seven 485. The launch of the new 1,500 square metre showroom was marked with an opening event for invited guests on the 26th June, and the dealership opens its door to the public on Saturday the 27th of June.
