The Riley marque is one that is not very well know here in the states. Most of the few people who do know about Riley think first of the Riley Elf – the badge-engineered version of the famed BLMC Mini. But long before the Elf, before BLMC, before Riley even became part of the Nuffield Organization (1938), the company produced some fantastic and beautiful cars. Our video of the week this go-round features just such a car, a 1933 Riley racer.
The car belongs to Troy Cooper, and the video comes to us by way of Center Lane which is a YouTube channel with lots of great automotive videos. In addition to this one on Troy and his Riley, you might also want to check on the video of Colin Fitzgerald’s vintage British car collection which includes a 1936 MG TA, 1946 MG TC, 1938 MG Tickford Drophead Coupe, 1935 Bentley Airline Saloon, and his 1925 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. Do check out both of these videos and the Center Lane channel overall.
