This will be the 11th edition of our Carolina British Classic Car Show. Again it will be at The Historic Columbia Speedway participating with Tartan Day South. There will be events on Thursday, Friday and the CBC XI Car Show on Saturday. The first event for all pre-registered participants begins on Thursday evening presented by Tartan Day South Festival. This is a free drop-in event. Go to www.tartandaydsouth.com for all TDS events. Friday we will again have a “Ramble of the Tartans” presented by The Lake Murray Chamber of Commerce. This takes the form of a rally of British Classic Cars circling Lake Murray with informative stops at several historic locations along the way. Come celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Carolina British Classics and help us reach over 200 cars in attendance. This year we will again be merging our event with the popular Tartan Day South Festival at the Columbia Speedway, a historic “vintage” track from the early days of NASCAR racing.  There will be many interesting and entertaining diversions throughout the day and a variety of merchandise and food vendors. Jaguar’s Ian Callum Inducted to Scottish Motoring Hall of Fame

Jaguar Director of Design Ian Callum has been named among the first inductees to the Scottish Motoring Hall of Fame at a prestigious ceremony held aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia and hosted by His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent. The Association of Scottish Motoring Writers’ Scottish Motoring Hall of Fame, presented by Bridge of Weir Leather Company, was inaugurated as part of the opening celebrations of the Concours of Elegance, which opens at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh this weekend. Ian Callum joins motorsport legends Sir Jackie Stewart and Jim Clark as the first inductees. British Cars at Greenville Scottish Games, May 24, 2014

The 2014 Great Scot! British Car Show, coinciding with the Greenville Scottish Games, will be held on the beautiful shaded mall of Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina, May 24, 2014. This year’s show, the 6th annual, will honor the Sunbeam as this year’s featured marque. Hosted by the Southeastern British Motor Owners Club, the show will exhibit Jaguars, MGs, Triumphs, and other classic cars from the heyday of the British automotive industry. From the big, luxury vehicles of Rolls Royce, to the diminutive and sporty Austin Healey Sprite, there will be something of interest to everyone. All British cars and motorcycles are eligible.
