MG Motor UK has announced record new car registrations as the iconic British brand continues to go from strength-to-strength in the UK market. The July sales results, taken from the latest SMMT market report, show that MG has achieved an impressive 5,099 new car registrations so far in 2018, over 600 cars more than it achieved in the whole of 2017. This significant increase in new car registrations amounts to an increase of 122% compared with the same period in 2017.

Jaguar Land Rover reported a 22% growth in registrations today – a record year for the UK market. For the full year 2015 a total of 100,787 vehicles (versus 82,845 in 2014) were registered thanks to a combination of new and updated products making the UK the number one market for the company. Land Rover UK registrations reached a new all-time high of 76,837 vehicles, an increase of 19% and surpassing last year’s figure of 64,544 vehicles. Jaguar was up 30% with 23,950 registrations in 2015 versus 18,401 vehicles in 2014.

MG Motor UK is thrilled to have reached 3,000 registrations for 2015 before the year-end. Today, the British manufacturer has exceeded last year’s figures by almost 1,000, and this year’s figure has already surpassed 2013 and 2014 registrations combined. The increase in sales has been as a result of great deals, a continual expansion of the dealer network, and an ever-growing awareness of the brand. Matthew Cheyne, Head of Sales and Marketing for MG, said: “We are delighted to have reached 3,000 registrations for this year.
