Southwest Idaho All British Field Meet
September 15, 2018 - September 16, 2018
CELEBRATE 50! That’s right. At SWIABFM 2018, we will highlight 50 years for two British cars manufactured in 1968. The Triumph TR-250 debuted to the American market as the transition from the TR-4 to the new TR-6. With only one year in production, the TR-250 is on the wish list for most Triumph owners and others. Our other celebrity guest is the Morgan Plus 8, introduced to the world in 1968 and still in production today (with a brief break from 2004 to 2012). If you have a TR-250 or a Morgan Plus 8, I encourage you to join us and tell your story.
But SWIABFM is more than these two marques! All British vehicles are welcome to join us for our “Two Great Events and One Awesome British Weekend.” The weekend starts in the Idaho mountain town of McCall for a show at Depot Park, next to beautiful Payette Lake on Saturday (9/15/18). As a registered guest, you may opt to sign up for a private charter tour of Lake Payette during the show. You can meet us in McCall if you’d like or drive up from Boise with the IBCC members. Following the activities in McCall, we will make our way back to the Treasure Valley and prepare for the show on Sunday (9/16/18) at the Village at Meridian. The Village offers a great and unique venue for a show in a town-center environment with stores, restaurants and offices. During the show, we will enjoy West Abbey Road, a Beatles tribute band, and a beer tent with some local craft beers and wines, including our traditional Smithwick Irish Red Ale. New this year will be the addition of artisan booths, where you can browse or shop. Sometime during the show, a celebration for the TR-250 and the Plus 8 will take place.
As before, the show at the Village will benefit the Meridian Food Bank. Those who participate in the show and visitors are encouraged to donate food or money to support the Food Bank’s mission.
