MINIs on the Dragon 2027, North Carolina
Fontana Village Resort 300 Woods Road, Fontana Damn, NC, United StatesMINIs on the Dragon (MOTD) returns to Fontana Village Resort in the mountains of western North Carolina for its 24th annual gathering, April 28 to May 2, 2027. Built around the Tail of the Dragon, 11 miles and 318 curves, the event brings hundreds of MINI owners together for group day drives, dinners, vendor alley and plenty of time to look over each other's mods. Registration opens Friday, January 15, 2027 at 9:00am EST, with a $30 registration fee. Day drives open for sign-up Saturday, February 13, 2027 at 9:00am EST. Registration closes Sunday, April 11, 2027. Fontana Village is the home base for the event and the recommended place to stay. Graham Walker Memorial Run – Beaulieu, UK
Beaulieu National Motor Museum New Forest, Hampshire, United KingdomThe annual Graham Walker Memorial Run returns to Beaulieu on Sunday 22 August 2027. In tribute to the late Graham Walker, veteran, vintage and post-vintage machines of all makes built before 31 December 1940 will be displayed in the grounds of the National Motor Museum before roaring into life and setting off on a run around the New Forest. Graham Walker was one of the founders of the Sunbeam Motorcycle Club in 1924 and served as club president for many years. After retiring from racing he became editor of Motorcycling and went on to be the first curator of the Montagu Motor Museum, forerunner to the National Motor Museum. The Beaulieu Oak Run – Beaulieu, UK
Beaulieu National Motor Museum New Forest, Hampshire, United KingdomThe Beaulieu Oak Run returns on Sunday 5 September 2027, bringing pre-1905 veteran vehicles back to Beaulieu for a run through the New Forest. Each year an oak tree sapling is planted to commemorate the run and to help offset carbon emissions for future generations. The vehicles depart Beaulieu at approximately 9am via the Clock House entrance, travel along Beaulieu High Street and stop at Hoburne Bashley before returning to Beaulieu at around 2pm, when they go on display outside Palace House. Viewing is included in Beaulieu admission from 2pm. Owners of pre-1905 veteran vehicles can register their interest in taking part through the Beaulieu Oak Run page.
