Southern Gypsy
For those of you who don't know, the BMC family of 1100
and 1300 sedans were the big brothers to the Mini. They were badge engineered as Austin,
MG, Riley, and Morris to name a few. They were enjoyable little rust buckets and were one
of the top selling cars in Britain for many years. Although they never reached that same
level of popularity here in the US, there did used to be quite a number of them around.
The only Sports Sedan I ever had was an MG 1100 that
was in horrible condition when I got it, and about the same when I sold it. I never got it
restored or running, but for some odd reason I still miss it. That is why I have created
this page. On it you will find many things relating to the 1100 and 1300 sedans. From
pictures to links, you will find them here!
I hope you enjoy what is here and perhaps even find
some of it useful. If you have any comments or additions, please let me know. I will be
adding more as soon as time and information allows, so please stop back by.
Thanks,
Michael
