Rigorously tested across extremes of terrain and temperature, the I-PACE has tamed the Arctic at Jaguar Land Rover’s cold weather test facility in Arjeplog, Sweden, at temperatures as low as -40°C.

Fast Charging I-PACE Tested in Extremes

Tony Westerlund, a potential customer from Sweden, had some interesting questions on living with I-PACE in Arctic conditions, particularly regarding stability and traction on the ice and snow. To answer his questions, Jaguar engineers invited him to Arjeplog to drive the car for the first time and see how it’s been tested to ensure performance in extreme conditions. Following is a video of those questions.

The Jaguar I-PACE will be revealed in a live global broadcast on 19:00 CET on 1 March 2018, and will go on to make its public premiere at the Geneva Motor Show on 6 March 2018.

The Jaguar I-PACE Concept has been named Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2017 at the 16th North American Concept Vehicle Awards.  As well as achieving the highest overall score to take away the top honor, Jaguar’s all-electric performance SUV also won the Production Preview Concept of the Year category. The awards, held at the Concours d’Elegance of America, recognize those vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automobile industry. The revolutionary new Jaguar I-PACE will form the heart of an all-new zero-emissions luxury chauffeur service to and from Heathrow Airport. As many as 200 I-PACEs will be available at Heathrow as part of a deal with WeKnowGroup, creating one of the largest electric vehicle fleets in the UK. The zero-emissions chauffeur service will begin running in summer 2018 with the delivery of 50 I-PACE vehicles, along with the option to add a further 150. Having been designed from the ground up as a pure electric vehicle, the I-PACE has a compact footprint but spacious interior, with generous seating for five and their luggage.
