Replica cars made in England with British components (e.g. Panther) and specialty cars with British chassis and running gear (e.g. Arkley) are welcome\, as are British bodied cars with American engines\, including conversions. \nThe weekend kicks off with the Friday Welcome Party\, followed by the Saturday car show\, which includes a BBQ\, a slalom competition\, People’s Choice balloting\, a Funkhana\, a huge photo concours\, a Best in Show designation and a Land Rover Adventure Ride sponsored by the Pacific Coast Rover Club. Sunday’s activities include a Rallye\, a swap meet and an off-road excursion for registered Land Rovers. \nPeople’s Choice ballots are cast for more than 80 classes of British cars\, which are owned and driven by club members from more than 30 British car clubs across the U.S. and Canada–a truly international event! DESCRIPTION:For the 2018 the New England British Reliability Run we will be touring the many small harbors along the New Hampshire & Maine coast in search of lighthouses and delicious “Homarus Americanus” (lobsters!). You can expect beautiful views of the coast as we motor on back roads through historic villages\, some dating back to the 1600’s! Never far from the ocean\, we will have ample opportunities to see & visit famous lighthouses that protect the harbors of New Hampshire and Maine\, some that have stood guard from before the Revolution! Of course\, being so near to the sea\, there is much more than lighthouses to look forward to…did I mention the lobsters? I’m not at all certain there isn’t a better combination than crisp fall weather\, the smell of the ocean and the taste of a lobster tail dripping with butter! \nOur route will take us through the tiny harbors and rocky coves that Maine and New Hampshire are famous for\, framed by the fall colors that will just be beginning to grace the scenery…the drives should be spectacular. \nOh\, and did I mention the lobsters?!

DESCRIPTION:Since 1993\, the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen presented by Chemung Canal Trust Company has celebrated our heritage of motor racing. Last year\, an estimated 25\,000 spectators helped us celebrate. As in previous years\, a tribute to the Grand Prix races are featured in a variety of events during this all day festival. Events include the Walk of Fame award ceremony\, a historical lecture called The Legends Speak\, a pre-race Tech Inspection at Smalley’s Garage\, as well as several rolling events and two car shows known as the Stone Bridge Driver Events. \n \nAt the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen\, presented by Chemung Canal Trust\, there is something for everyone! Parked along the main streets of the village you will find over 600 classic sports cars of all ages and marques for your enjoyment. In addition to live music\, wine tasting\, food courts\, and assorted other family activities\, a variety of vendors of racing items and related Merchandise are provided for your entertainment and pleasure. DESCRIPTION:On Friday and Saturday\, July 20-21 the VSCCA will be hosting the inaugural White Mountain Vintage Grand Prix and the long-anticipated track in Tamworth\, NH. A 2.5-mile version of Watkins Glen is a good comparison. Having driven it I can tell you it is a fantastic course. \nThe event will be open to pre-war MGs\, T Series and MGAs in keeping with the VSCCA car eligibility. Due to local ordinance\, it is a muffled event (90db limit) and cars must run period-correct tires (no Hoosiers or slicks). \nOn Sunday\, July 22 Nick Grewal will be hosting a concours on his farm in Sanbornton\, NH as a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs. There will be a race car class. Car entry is expected to be only $15-20. SUMMARY:Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome's British Car Day
DESCRIPTION:A low key British Car Show with no judging\, just a chance for collectible British car owners to get together and enjoy the Aerodrome’s WW I show honoring the one-hundredth anniversary of the end of the war. \nThe show begins at 2 pm and runs to about 4 pm.  Gates open at 10 am and group admission will be charged for those showing their cars: Adults $20\, Seniors (65+) and military $15\, Ages 6-17 $5\, 5 and under are free. \nThose who have not visited the Aerodrome before are urged to arrive early as there are a number of museum buildings featuring antique aircraft\, autos\, motorcycles\, engines\, model aircraft\, and many other vintage aviation exhibits.
