SUMMARY:Woodstock British Car Show
DESCRIPTION:The seventh annual Woodstock British Car Show\, featuring more than 100 beautiful classic and modern cars\, takes place Sunday\, Sept. 13\, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Woodstock Playhouse\, 103 Mill Hill Road\, Woodstock. \nPast shows have drawn vintage British cars from across the Eastern seaboard\, including many MG\, Triumph\, Austin-Healey\, Jaguar and Morgan sports cars from the 1930s through the 1980s. Other vehicles that have been showcased include luxury Bentleys and Rolls-Royces\, sporting Rileys and ACs\, and even Morris Minor Traveller “woodie” wagons. \nParticipating British cars and trucks will enter the field starting at 8:30 a.m. Awards\, including People’s Choice\, Longest Distance Traveled and Best of Marque\, will be given out at 2 p.m. \n \nAlong with the cars\, a 1950s song and dance show will be presented by the New York Conservatory for the Arts. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Official T-shirts featuring the show’s popular slogan – “Peace\, Love & Lucas” plus the Union Jack flag – will be on sale. \nThe rain date for the event is Sunday\, Sept. 20\, 2015. \nAdmission is free\, and free parking will be available. Registration in advance for car exhibitors will be $15\, $20 on the day of the show. Proceeds will benefit the Woodstock Playhouse.

DESCRIPTION:Announcing the 29th Annual British Car Festival\, at Harper College in Palatine\, is coming right up\, Sunday\, September 13\, 2015\, at Harper College in Palatine\, Illinois\, sponsored by the BRITISH CAR UNION\, a consortium Board of 14 Chicagoland British Car Clubs. \nWe have the biggest British car show in the Midwest.  About 3000 people are here every year\, all eager British car fanatics\, and about 500-550 actual British cars of all marques and vintages registered in the show. \nThe British Car Festival features over 500 British cars and motorcycles and is one of the largest displays of British vehicles in the United States. Where else could you experience Aston Martin\, Austin\, Austin-Healey\, Bentley\, Hillman\, MG\, Lotus\, Morris\, Morgan\, Jaguar\, Jensen Healey\, Mini Cooper\, Sunbeam\, English Ford\, Delorean\, Metropolitan\, Land Rover\, Riley\, Rolls Royce\, Triumph\, and TVR vehicles so close and personal? \n \nAlso featured are informational sessions\, British new car dealers as well as parts and service suppliers for “everything British!” This is your chance to talk with the owners\, make new friends and maybe…shop around for that British vehicle you’ve always dreamed of owning! So join us at Harper College\, always the Sunday after Labor day. Car registration is very reasonable and guests are free. \nWe also feature all sorts of vendors from insurance and appraisal\, to art\, parts and paraphernalia\, new car dealers and restoration and race prep shops\, and great food vendors!

DESCRIPTION:Saluting Austin-Healey – Labor Day Weekend 2015 – September 4th\, 5th & 6th 2015\nBring Your British cars and motorcycles. Join OVER 800 other British vehicle owners and share your interests with other enthusiasts. Replica cars made in England with British components (e.g. Panther) and specialty cars with British chassis and running gear (e.g. Arkley) are welcome\, as are British bodied cars with American engines\, including conversions. \nThe weekend kicks off with the Friday Welcome Party\, followed by the Saturday car show\, which includes a BBQ\, a slalom competition\, People’s Choice balloting\, a Funkhana\, a huge photo concours\, a Best in Show designation and a Land Rover Adventure Ride sponsored  by the Pacific Coast Rover Club. Sunday’s activities include a Rallye\, a swap meet and an off-road excursion for registered Land Rovers.. \nPeople’s Choice ballots are cast for more than 80 classes of British cars\, which are owned and driven by club members from more than 30 British car clubs across the U.S. and Canada–a truly international event! Attendees can leave with not only good memories\, but mementos and memorabilia as well\, after a stop in the Regalia Tent. \nWe anticipate a good showing with Aston Martins plus several Rolls-Royce and Bentley Automobiles. This year the event salutes Austin-Healey. All ‘Brit’ cars are welcome to join the fun.  Sunday morning we will take over the streets of Portland for a time/speed/distance rally\, which is open to all registered vehicles. \nThe organizing Clubs welcome the public to take in this rare assembly of the West Coast’s finest British Steel.  The Portland All British Field Meet is promoting this event and expects a large crowd of spectators and media coverage.
