SUMMARY:15th Annual Kastner Cup
DESCRIPTION:The 15th iteration of this great event will be hosted as the featured event at the 2017 VSCDA (Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association) Blackhawk Classic at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton\, IL on June 16-18\, 2017. The track is perfect for small bore production racing and the spectating is simply second to none. There is nowhere on the track that can’t be accessed for watching close racing action trackside\, plus there is an observation deck where seven corners can be seen from a perch in the middle of the paddock. \nThe Kastner Cup is awarded to one Triumph Competitor each year. First awarded at Mosport Canada in 2003 and then each year after at a different track around the USA. It has been to many famous tracks such as Portland Intl. Raceway\, Watkins Glen\, New York\, Hallet Oklahoma\, Laguna Seca and Atlanta Georgia along with Topeka\, Kansas\, Road America in Wisconsin\, ButtonWilow California\, Eagle Canyon\, Texas\, and the last race at Summit Point in Virginia. An effort is made to each year to arrange a locality that will give Triumph racers in various sections of the country a chance to compete for the Cup. \n \nThe same driver cannot win the cup in successive years. SUMMARY:24th Annual British Motorcar Gathering\, Pennsylvania
DESCRIPTION:More than 200 vintage British sports cars will be on display when the British Motorcar Gathering is staged at Hellertown Reservoir Park\, just south of Bethlehem\, in eastern Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. \nThe annual show features finely restored MGs\, Triumphs\, Jaguars\, Austin-Healeys\, Morgans and Minis from every mid-Atlantic state. Classic British sports cars and sedans dating from the 1930s to present day will be displayed in a wooded setting\, with separate areas for each make of car. \nThose registered will choose the top three examples of each class and model of car\, with more than 50 awards to be made. There will also be a “Best of Show” award for the favorite car of the day\, and a “Diamond in the Rough” award\, given to a car which is still on its way to complete restoration. \nAll makes of British cars and motorcycles\, old and new\, are welcome. Show classes will be determined by the number of cars of each marque and model which pre-registered by May 31. At least three cars of a type must be pre-registered in order to be considered for a separate class. \nThe field opens at 9 a.m.\, with judging until 12:30 p.m. Catered food and drinks are available in a large picnic pavilion\, or bring your own picnic\, with events for children and music provided all day. \nThe British Motorcar Gathering will be held RAIN OR SHINE\, with no rain date. \nPre-registration is $15 by May 31.  Participants may register on the day of the show for $20. \nThe show is held rain or shine.  Spectators are asked for a $2 donation ($5 for a family).

Whether your vehicle is in pristine condition\, or a daily driver\, sparkling paint and chrome or with “Barn Fresh” patina\, it deserves to be part of the event and on the display field.This is going to be our \nThis is going to be our 30th-anniversary event\, and we want to make it Special!  The Featured Marque for this year’s 30th Anniversary British By The Sea is the Morris. As usual\, our Featured Marque will be prominently displayed in the front row and will have generous room to display the vehicles along with any club tents for memorabilia and hospitality. \nOur BBTS Gathering is always scheduled on the first Sunday in June\, at the scenic 240 acre Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford Ct.\, on the north shore of Long Island Sound. We want to encourage people to come down and enjoy a day mingling with other LBC owners\, talk about cars\, have a picnic\, a glass of wine\, and also take in all that Harkness Memorial State Park has to offer\, such as the beach\, the Mansion “Eolia”\, and the Gardens. The CT MG Club donates a large amount of our proceeds from BBTS to the Park to purchase plants for the West Gardens\, helping to restore the “Eolia” Gardens to their original grandeur as designed by Beatrix Farrand in 1919. DESCRIPTION:Cars and Motorcycles of England returns to the historic Oakbourne Mansion again in 2017\, featuring an all-British marque judged motorcar and motorcycle concours\, and a nationally sanctioned Jaguar Concours d’Elegance. The combined show fields represent one of the largest British Motoring shows on the East Coast with over 250 cars and motorcycles participating in each of the last four years. The show field opens at 8:30 AM and Judging begins at 10:00 AM. Prizes will be awarded beginning at 2:30PM. \nDelaware Valley Triumphs sponsors the All-British show. In 2015 our show field included the following marques: Aston Martin\, Austin\, Austin Healey\, Bentley\, Daimler\, Innocenti\, Jaguar\, Lancester\, Lotus\, MG\, Mini\, Morgan\, Peerless\, Rolls Royce\, Rover\, Sunbeam\, and\, of course\, Triumph. Motorcycles included BSA\, Norton\, and Triumph. In 2017 there are 40 award classes for automobiles and four for motorcycles. Special awards will also be given for Diamond in the Rough\, the Best of Show – Participants’ Choice and the Best of Show – Judge’s Choice. Registration is $20 per vehicle until May 27\, 2017\, and $25 from May 27 onward.

On Sunday\, we welcome the American Bugatti Club\, with Bugatti being our featured marque. The Bonhams auction begins at noon and requires a separate admission – or you can watch through the open side of the tent. \nOn both days there will be displays of new cars including BMW\, Lincoln\, Cadillac\, Porsche\, Lotus\, Tesla\, Mercedes-Benz\, Volvo\, Jaguar\, Land Rover\, Alfa Romeo and Miller Motorcars – with Ferrari\, Pagani\, Aston Martin\, McLaren\, Bentley and Maserati. DESCRIPTION:The 26 annual Champagne British Car Festival will be held June 2\,3 & 4\, 2017 in Bloomington\, Illinois.  DeLorean has been chosen as the featured marque.  The Sunday public show on the lawn of the historic David Davis Mansion will feature the Mecum Auction “Mobile Experience” trailer and the McNuty Irish Dancers. \n \nFor anyone who has watched one of the Mecum auctions on TV\, you know how glamorous this side of car auctions can be. The glossy paint\, rare cars and high-rollers willing to bid up to get what they want make for an exciting event. But that excitement had been limited to the people who happen to watch the auctions on TV or get to one in person\, until Mecum joined up with Spevco to create a mobile marketing unit that brings that excitement out on the road. \n“When they came to us\, they wanted something they could take to car shows\, events and their own auctions to interact with people and help build their brand\,” said Chris Stonehouse\, mission specialist. What they ended up with was an exhibit that can display a couple of cars at a time\, on a stage just like the ones that are set up for each auctions. The cars come rolling out to huge fanfare\, and people love to get up close and personal with the cars. \nThe interactive exhibit includes iPads where people can learn more about Mecum and register into their database for alerts of upcoming auctions and a regular newsletter. For registering they get a t-shirt\, and then they’re able to get up on stage for a photo-op with the car\, which they can share on social media. “It’s been a great way for them to really build excitement and advertise upcoming events\,” Stonehouse said. [Mecum Spevco] \nMecum kicked off their 2016 auctions with a big event in Kissimmee\, Fla.\, earlier this month\, and Stonehouse was lucky to be able to be there and take part in some of the marketing events. From there the trailer will travel to car shows and specialty events a it makes its way to the other auctions on tap for 2016. “Mecum’s marketing team has been really pleased with the success of this program\,” Stonehouse said. “We not only created a customized trailer\, but we cover the logistics of taking it on the road. DESCRIPTION:2017 is going to be incredible! Rolls Royce and Bentley are our featured marquees. \nHeld in conjunction with the Gallabrae Greenville Scottish Games at Furman University. \nJoin us on the beautiful shaded mall of Furman University\, Greenville\, South Carolina. Please mark your calendars for an exciting and unique British Classic car show event on Memorial Weekend Saturday\, May 27th – 2017. \nAll British cars and motorcycles are eligible. Winning classes are: First\, Second\, and Third place class awards (depending on the number of entries) – Best of Show – Special awards to include President’s Award and a featured Marque award. Judging will be by the Participants\, with one ballot per registration.

DESCRIPTION:British Car Week is an annual awareness week intended for owners of Classic British Cars to get their cars out of the garage and drive them. While doing so\, all who are involved will help create awareness of the classic British car hobby in local communities wherever there is participation. \nIt doesn’t matter whether your car is in better than new condition\, or perhaps it’s a less than perfect unrestored gem\, we love them all! As long as it can be safely driven down the road\, this is a great opportunity to show off your favorite car and take advantage of what British car motoring is all about. \nMeanwhile\, if you want to drive your car and need some ideas for places to go\, please take a look at the activities calendar (linked on this page) for some ideas.
