DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, August 27th\, JAG will be holding a Show and Shine Car Show at Kirigin Cellars\, Gilroy\, CA. The show will commence with a drive from Los Gatos along some of the lesser known back roads of Los Gatos\, Morgan Hill ending at Kirigin Cellars. JAG will have a private area on grass to park and show our fine cars. \nKirigin Cellars is a fine location as there is generous space for parking and for socializing on their beautifully flowering terraces and large event room. \nThere will be a sandwich and salad lunch\, wine tasting\, music\, space to socialize\, awards and of course lots of shining Jaguars of all vintages. There will be an opportunity to purchase Kirigin Cellars fine wines at discount. \nThe costs will be $35 per head for food. The Jaguars eat for free. \nWe will have awards for first\, second and third according to attendee vote (one vote per paying head) in at least 3 classes. The club has a very rich selection of fabulous Jaguar cars so there will be stiff competition that will lead to challenging choices for attendees for the Best of Show\, Gene Babow Trophy.

DESCRIPTION:The BSMGAC is once again sponsoring MG Car Day at Larz Anderson Auto Museum from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm\, rain or shine. There will be a food vendor for morning snacks as well as lunch items. There are 11 classes: MG Pre-war\, MG T Post-war\, MGA 1500\, MGA 1600\, MGB 1963-1967\, MGB 1968-1974\, MGB 1975-1980\, MG Midget\, MG Other\, MG Custom/Modified\, and Other British. \nSpread the word to all your MG friends to bring their cars out to this annual event. Also\, if you know any Rover owners\, please let them know about the day as they don’t get much awareness. I have included a class just for Other British that will include Rovers. If you know of a local Rover Owner’s group\, please let me know. \nThere will be three awards in each class as well as a 50/50 raffle and general raffle. The voting ends by 12:30 and awards announced as soon as we get the ballots counted after that. So\, come out and enjoy the day and spend time with other MG enthusiasts. \nRegistration is $20 per car. Your registration includes two admissions to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum which always has some interesting displays. Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

DESCRIPTION:Please join the fun at the 2017 Vintage Triumph Register National Convention which takes place at Forrestal Village\, Princeton\, NJ. \nThe convention will be co-hosted by the Delaware Valley Triumph club and the New Jersey Triumph Association. This will be the 2nd time the DVT has acted as host for this National event. \nThe planning committee is working on many great back-road drives that are abundant in the area. Princeton itself is a short back-road drive to that historic town\, with its many restaurants\, pubs\, shops\, antique shops\, and off course\, the esteemed Princeton University. \nWhile the Concours and Participant’s Choice Car Show are a major part of the convention\, DVT and NJTA are “driving” clubs. We encourage all Triumph enthusiasts to bring a car-regardless of its condition. \nThe hotel is near major roads and interstates\, and very easy to get to. In the event you have to fly in\, Philadelphia Airport (PHL) and Newark Airport (EWR) are only about an hour away\, as well as the local Trenton Airport. \nThe Convention headquarters will be at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village. Located off major roads\, but easily accessed by back roads\, the hotel has all you would expect in major chain hotel; 300 rooms\, pool\, restaurant\, tennis courts\, etc. In addition\, current plans are for the Autocross\, Funkana\, LeMan’s Start\, Concours\, and Participant’s Choice Car Show to maybe be literally within walking-distance of the hotel\, using the hotel grounds. Tech sessions and other meetings will be at the hotel. DESCRIPTION:The 18th annual Alden Classic Sports Car Show will be Aug. 13th\, 2017 in Alden\, Michigan. Located 25 miles NE of Traverse City in northwestern lower Michigan. This beautiful resort village welcomes over 100 sports cars for a weekend of touring\, car show\, and valve cover racing. Each entry is $15 with t-shirts to the first 50\, admission is free for spectators and valve cover racers! \nLodging is complimented in the region with wineries\, tasting rooms\, casinos\, breweries and hundreds of miles of great touring roads. A tour of the Torch Lake area is offered on Saturday with a dinner following. The tour highlights the region’s lakes\, rivers\, rolling hills and scenery that will not be soon forgotten. \nValve cover racing is also part of our unique and friendly show\, with trophies being awarded to the fastest valve cover racer. Clubs from throughout the Midwest offer challenges each year to the racers\, there is no fee to enter this contest. \nEach year we choose a special marque for a featured vehicle. The MGA has been chosen as the featured marque in 2017. SUMMARY:British Car Day at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
DESCRIPTION:One of the highlights of Grand Prix Race Weekend in Schenley Park is British Car Day\, sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Triumph Association (WPTA). It features over 500 of England’s best sport and luxury automobiles. 2017 will mark the 37th year of this great event and the 31st year that it has taken place in conjunction with the PVGP in Schenley Park. During that time the WPTA has raised $144\,000 for the Grand Prix charities! \n \nLocated in the middle of the golf course it is the anchor of our International Car Show. British Car Day is the largest annual British-only car show in Pennsylvania whose proceeds have always been contributed to charity. The WPTA’s British Car Day was first held at Hartwood Acres from 1981 to 1986. In joining the Grand Prix in 1987\, an immediate synergy was evident. That relationship has continued to be a huge success with each event complimenting the other.

A Multi-day event including a concours\, racing at Lime Rock race track\, a rally through the beautiful Berkshires and a fabulous award dinner. \nThis starts with a road tour on Thursday morning that concludes with a fine luncheon at a member’s restored country manse. \nFriday sees the white glove crowd gather on the lawn across from the Interlaken Inn to display the finest Astons to be found. In fact\, there are cars here that get shipped in from all over the US and Canada. \nLastly\, the Track day at Lime Rock Park takes place on Saturday with some incredibly rare cars at speed.

DESCRIPTION:TRA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Columbus\, Indiana\, has been selected as the location for the TRA National Meet\, June 21-24\, 2017.  While Columbus might not be the first city you think of when Indiana is mentioned\, the Columbus area combines a small town feel with an abundance of big city amenities and scenic driving opportunities on winding country roads\, all of which make it a perfect location for a TRA National Meet. \nThose of us who attend TRA every year are already excited about the fun to be had at the 2017 National Meet\, and we can’t wait for June to share it with our TRA family.  For folks who have not attended for awhile\, 2017 is the year that you will want to return.
