SUMMARY:VTR National Convention 2021 - Oklahoma
DESCRIPTION:Andy Holliday\, 2021 Convention Chairman\, would like to extend his personal invitation to all triumph enthusiasts to join COVTR and Green Country Triumphs in its celebration of the great Rt 66 and its legacy in Oklahoma.  The host hotel will be the Hilton Garden Inn of Edmond just north of the current Route 66 by about 3 miles. \nThe organizers have planned to incorporate as many events as they can so that everyone can explore what Oklahoma has to offer. There will be the usual gimmick rally\, autocross\, funkana\, and concourse but they are also planning on doing a walking tour of the local area and a simple TSD rally that requires no experience or calculators to compete in.  There will be a craft\, photo\, and model contest as usual with awards for all events. \nAll participants will have multiple opportunities to enjoy the local fare with two evenings of dinner runs and at least one breakfast run.  We are hoping for a fun-filled three days in the Oklahoma sun enjoying some top-down driving through the countryside.

DESCRIPTION:NEW EXPANDED SCOPE FOR 2018 TO INCLUDE TSD RALLY!! \nIn 2018\, we are providing entrants with two options: \n1) A fun TSD Rally (time/speed/distance) available only to Ottawa and Cobourg Starters.  It will be suitable for beginners and experts alike.  The TSD rally will start on September 28 and finish on September 29 with an overnight stop in Belleville\, ON.  The TSD Rally is only available to Ottawa and Cobourg Starters. It will include a number of TSD Rally Sections plus “Special Stages” including on-track sessions at Shannonville Motorsport Park.  Special Awards by class and finish will be provided on completion. \nWe will be updating the REGISTRATION very soon to include the TSD Rally.  In the meantime\, REGISTRATION for the Rally Tour is open. \n2) A non-competitive\, completely enjoyable Rally/Tour. Crews will follow the route using rally-style instructions for a relaxed “Walter Mitty” rally experience. This will start and finish on the same day. \nBoth options will comprise an approximate 200-mile drive event. The routes utilize interesting all-tarmac roads.  We guarantee that the event will make for the perfect motor outing for those who like a bit of a challenge.  Crews will traverse the countryside through quaint towns and villages and will be met by fabulous scenery and impressive vistas.  The event is a virtual “Rolling Car Show” with a twist! \nIn the fashion of the great European Rallies\, participating cars and crews will start the Rally from six different locations including Ottawa\, Montreal\, Cobourg\, Scranton\, Syracuse\, Albany.  Nearing completion of the various routes\, crews will converge on the Finish Location which is the luxurious Edgewood Resort in Alexandria Bay\, NY. \nRounding out the event\, the evening will offer a Celebration Banquet Dinner complete with awards presentations and good fellowship.  Resort Accommodations are available at a special rate.  Rally decals and event apparel are made free and available with registration. \nThe event is open to all including vintage\, historic\, classic and exotic cars or motorcycles.

DESCRIPTION:The first Rallye Glenwood Springs began with a hardy group of MGCC-RMC sports car owners who discovered the joys of top-down motoring in Colorado when MGs still had running boards and the new TR2 and powerful XK-120 were just beginning to be sold by Colorado car dealers. Imagine what Colorado mountain roads were like during that 1953 Rallye—gravel (some pavement!)\, no guardrails\, single-lane bridges\, hairpin curves\, sheer cliffs\, and thin air. \nThe Rocky Mountains of central Colorado\, with some of the most breathtaking scenery in America\, have formed the backdrop for Glenwood SpringsColoradothe Rallye Glenwood Springs through fifty-nine previous years. Vintage and classic cars from as far away as California and Illinois have shared the twisting mountain roads with their newer counterparts for octane-related festivities. Enthusiasts have come from as far away as England to drive borrowed MGCC-RMC cars through such fabled Colorado mining towns as Leadville and Aspen on their way to Glenwood Springs. \nThis milestone weekend is a marvelous opportunity for not only MG owners but for all car enthusiasts of every marque—British\, American\, European\, Asian—to come together for sunny days\, cool nights\, and unique events.

DESCRIPTION:Jaguar fans are leaping at the chance to join Simply Jaguar\, Beaulieu’s new event to celebrate the brand’s thoroughbred saloons and sports cars on Sunday 8th May. \nThe invitation to join the rally extends to every model from this legendary marque\, including the stately Mark V to X executive saloons\, more compact Mark I\, Mark II and S-Type\, luxurious XJ and sporting icons such as the post-war XK range\, E-type\, XJ-S and the latest F-type. Daimler derivatives of Jaguar models are also welcome to take part in the event in the stately grounds of the National Motor Museum. \nEvents Assistant Reuben Rhodes-Leader said: “We are excited to welcome Jaguar owners and enthusiasts to Beaulieu for the first ever Simply Jaguar and look forward to an extensive display of impressive cars on show.  As such a well-loved marque\, Simply Jaguar will be a day out for everyone to enjoy.” \nParticipating owners will drive their Jaguars through the scenic New Forest before parking up in the grounds of the National Motor Museum to compare their cars\, chat with other enthusiasts and enjoy all of the features of the Beaulieu attraction which are included in one great value ticket. \n \nThe People’s Choice Award will give rally participants and Beaulieu’s attraction visitors the chance to nominate their favourite car. In the afternoon\, the owner of the car which received the greatest number of votes will be presented with a commemorative Beaulieu trophy and a special Autoglym prize\, before leading a cavalcade of the most popular cars through the Beaulieu grounds. \nFor rally participants arriving in a Jaguar\, entry into the Beaulieu parkland with your car is from 9.30am\, when the Brabazon Restaurant will be serving hot and cold drinks and breakfast bites. Participant tickets are £10.00 adult and £5.00 child and can be purchased on the day\, or in advance on 01590 612888 or www.beaulieu.co.uk/events. All other visitors should enter Beaulieu via the main reception at normal Beaulieu attraction admission prices. \nFor Jaguar clubs whose members would all like to park together within the show\, club stands are available.
