DESCRIPTION:The MINIS To The Max exhibit will open its doors at the BMW plant in Greer\, SC\, on May 1st. 30 inspirational examples of the history of MINI will be on display and will walk you through the Heritage years\, Motorsports versions\, quirky and unusual examples and even the newest vehicles from MINI USA. \nOn May 17\, 2024\, you are invited to join us for the open house to welcome The Vintage group. Be one of the first to experience the newest offering from The Ultimate Driving Museum. The MINIs To The Max: 65 Years of Spirited Adventures exhibit will showcase the evolution of MINI. It celebrates Mini heritage\, the vehicle range including motorsport\, unique special editions\, their passionate owners\, and provide a look into the future of the MINI brand. The exhibition will run from May 1st\, 2024 to January 18th\, 2025. \nIn 2024\, MINI will be celebrating 65 years of fun and innovation and unveiling the fourth generation of the model range. While the original Mini is considered an icon of 1960s British popular culture\, BMW has owned MINI as a brand for 28 years! Its space-saving transverse engine and front-wheel drive layout allowed 80% of the area of the car’s floor pan to be used for passengers and luggage and influenced a generation of car makers. Mini has a rich heritage of performance in race and rally cars\, winning the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964\, 1965\, and 1967. Today MINI continues its racing heritage in the TC America Touring Car Series. BMW launched the new MINI in 2001 drawing inspiration from the original two-door design and brought significant performance improvements to the brand. \nThe May 17\, 2024 The Vintage Open House will feature; \n– 31 MINIs on display from 1960 – today \n– A free exhibition collectible for every adult guest \n– Food trucks will be on the property \n– Opportunities to see your friends and enjoy yourself \n– An amazing array of guest MINIs and BMWs in our own parking lot \nFood Trucks will be serving lunch onsite. Between 11:00am and 2:00pm\, you will have the ability to purchase lunch from top-quality food trucks parked onsite (lunch is not included in your admission fee). There are also several restaurants located at exits 63 and 54 on Interstate 85. \nThe Ultimate Driving Museum is located in Greer\, SC\, directly next door to the BMW Performance Center\, and across the street from BMW’s largest manufacturing center. The Museum & Archive currently preserves about 80\,000 BMW-related items\, from cars to engines to art and literature and memorabilia. It’s the largest such collection in the Americas.
