DESCRIPTION:The Ohio Chapters of the MGTs and the BuckAyes of NAMGAR invite ALL MGs and their owners to have an Octagonal Time in the Heart of Ohio at the Cherry Valley Hotel in Newark\, Ohio June 17th-21\, 2024.Why will it be an Octagonal time?  One reason is that the hotel has been built in the shape of two octagons\, our favorite shape!   The Cherry Valley Hotel is located between Newark and Granville\, in Licking County.  It is in the Best Western Premier Collection.  These small communities are surrounded by many superb MG roads\, including Athens County’s Windy 9\, meant to be driven by our MGs. SUMMARY:17th Annual DVC Car Show - Shippack\, PA
DESCRIPTION:Our 17th annual show has a new venue! We searched hard to find the perfect place. A place where you and your family can enjoy the cars and much\, much more! We are sure that we found it and hope you agree. \nSkippack Village\, located on Route 73 just east of Route 113\, is our new home. Our festival show field is in the center of town\, surrounded by shops\, boutiques\, and crafters of all kinds. Enjoy a snack or grab lunch in the village\, then stick around after the car show for dinner in one of the many restaurants – simple to high-end. Round out your day by taking in a show at Playcrafters. Keep the fun going all weekend by staying in one of the limited rooms that are available at the Hotel Fiesole. \nCar show registration opens at 10 am (rain or shine). General admission opens at 11 am – of course\, it is still free! The voting will run from noon until 1:30 pm. After tallying the votes\, trophies will be awarded. Trophies are awarded per marque based on popular vote. We will also be handing out our “Best of Show”\, “Ladies Choice”\, and “Diamond in the Rough” awards. \nThe entry fee is $25/car and includes a dash plaque. SUMMARY:Put-In-Bay Historic Sports Car Races - Ohio
DESCRIPTION:The races were held back in the early 1950s through about 1962 or so with perhaps a year or two omitted. \nThe races were originally conducted on the public roads on the small island in Lake Erie just north of the north coast of Ohio. The races were re-invented about 10 years ago. But rather than racing on the public roads they now race on a temporary race course set up on the airport runways and taxiways. Racing classes are designed to bring in mostly 3.0 liter and smaller engine race cars. And they restrict vehicles to those built before 1970 (generally). I have spectated and more recently now serve as a safety team representative (tow disabled race cars off the track). As you might guess there are considerable vintage MGs including T-Series competing on the track. The theme this year (to be held September 19-22) is the “Triumph vs MG Challenge.” \nIf you haven’t witnessed this event you owe yourself this venue. Great racing and lots of fun.

DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota MG T Register is proud to host this year’s GOF after a two-year hiatus.  MGs will be present from the six clubs that represent the Central organization. All models of MGs are welcome. In addition to these cars\, GOF Central 2022 will be the National Meet for the North American MMM Register. SUMMARY:70th Annual Rallye Glenwood Spring - Colorado
DESCRIPTION:The MG Car Club – Rocky Mountain Centre invites you to join us for the 70th Annual Rallye Glenwood Springs\, the oldest\, continually held\,time-speed-distance rally in the United States\, on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, June 10\, 11\, and 12\, 2022. This year’s rallye is being held in honor of the Platinum Jubilee of her Majesty the Queen. \nThe weekend is a marvelous opportunity\, not just for MG owners\, but for sports car enthusiasts of every marque (British\, American\, German\, Italian\, Asian to come together for sunny days\, cool nights\, and unique events in Glenwood Springs. The fun begins on Friday with the more rigorous time-speed-distance rallye designed to challenge both novice and experienced rallyists. The rallye departs from Gunther Toody’s Restaurant in Littleton\, CO\, runs through canyons and over mountain passes in the heart of the Rocky Mountains\, and finishes in Glenwood Springs. \nSaturday’s main event is the ‘Many Miles’ Tour which starts and finishes in Glenwood Springs. On the way\, you will enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery Colorado has to offer. \nThe weekend’s activities round out with the Car Show\, Funkhana\, and Awards Presentation on Sunday. \nYour registration package contains a raffle ticket. Make sure you bring it to the car show on Sunday to be eligible for door prizes. \nSince its inception\, the MGCC-RMC has sponsored the Rallye\, which began when a hardy group of sports car owners\, led by Mrs. Hazel Marble\, discovered the joys of motoring in Colorado in MGs that still had drop-down tops and running boards. \nVintage and classic cars from as far away as California and Connecticut have shared the twisting mountain roads with their newer counterparts for octane-related festivities. SUMMARY:Chicagoland 25th Annual All Sports Car Swap Meet and Autojumble
DESCRIPTION:Since 1997 the Chicagoland MG Club swap meet has been held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton\, Illinois in early spring. The site is an indoor heated facility that is centrally located approximately 30 miles due west of downtown Chicago. There will be a food vendor on-site and an ATM in the building. \nWe have reserved our usual date and buildings in the expectation that Covid related group restrictions will not preclude it. At this time\, a requirement for indoor masking is the only restriction in effect at our site. However\, due to the continuing uncertainty of restrictions for group gatherings\, vendors and shoppers alike should monitor this site for any updates as to whether or not we will be able to conduct the Swap on March 27\, 2022. \nIf the site is available without untenable restrictions\, we will be back and operating as in the past; however\, the Swap is subject to cancellation if unexpected restrictions are imposed or if the site becomes unavailable to us. Should a cancellation occur\, all vendor registration prepayments will be refunded.
