SUMMARY:MG GOF Central 2022 - La Crosse\, WI
DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota MG T Register is proud to host this year’s GOF after a two-year hiatus.  MGs will be present from the six clubs that represent the Central organization. All models of MGs are welcome. In addition to these cars\, GOF Central 2022 will be the National Meet for the North American MMM Register. Some cars at this event will be 90 years old – and still running. \nLa Crosse is an old river city located in Southwestern Wisconsin Bluff Country with many scenic\, small valleys and wonderful “sports car roads.”  The event includes a First Timer’s car show\, technical sessions\, vendor and swap meet\, the main car show\, guided and unguided tours\, several social events\, an auction\, and the awards banquet. \nWe encourage all of you to join us in July and stay with us at the Radisson La Crosse with its scenic views of the Mississippi River and its location in the downtown area. \nRegalia MUST BE PRE-ORDERED.  The DEADLINE for orders is JUNE 1st.  You DO NOT need to access your registration – Regalia has its own tab in the top ribbon menu\, and payment is separate from registration items. GOF Central 2022 Regalia  If you would like to order shirts\, hat\, or water bottle\, but are not going to the event\, we will get the items to you after the event.  Please direct any questions about any of the items to Nancy Crain at nancymcrain@gmail.com or 952-261-4720.\n\nEvent Update as of 4/18/2022:\n\n\n60 cars have been registered so far.  14 will be shown in the First Timer’s show.\nWe are excited to have Tom Wilson (Indiana)\, “an MG history nut\,” as our keynote speaker.\nArt Lewis (Michigan) has graciously agreed to be our auctioneer.\nRuss Westfall is presenting a tech session on paint\, leather and upholstery; and Steve Blomberg and Gary Krukoski will present the ins and outs of the gearbox.\nHave you ever tried racing a valve cover car?  Lee Jacobson will hold a clinic to help you build one\, and Gary Krukoski can fix you up with a valve cover.\nArtists\, crafters\, and photographers – bring an example of your creativity to enter into this contest!\nLadies who join us for the Sip & Paint will receive a special gift created by one of our members.\nBring cash to buy tickets for a chance to win a free night at the hotel!\nIn addition to the Norskedalen drive\, we are planning self-guided tours for the area.  Come early or stay the weekend and enjoy the beautiful countryside\, and the “Driftless” area which is unique in the United States.\n\n\nJoin in!  It promises to be a fun event with something for everyone.
