DESCRIPTION:The event features the premiere launch of The Pace Grand Prix at the Bend\, all new Mecum Auctions\, the return of the prestigious annual Chattanooga Concours d’Elegance\, as well as the open road West Village Road Rallye thru the mountains of Tennessee. Featuring thousands of cars\, live concerts\, car clubs\, street festivals\, and food trucks; this event is one for the entire family to join. \nThe inaugural Chattanooga Motorcar Festival was held in 2019. The 2020 event was canceled due to the pandemic. \nMecum Auctions comes to Chattanooga as the world leader of collector car\, vintage and antique motorcycle\, and road art sales. Buckle in for two days of auction action in the Chattanooga Convention Center with over 600 cars in show! \nThe 2021 Chattanooga Motorcar Festival announced an all-new two-mile (approx.) racecourse in downtown Chattanooga to host a wheel-to-wheel competition during its second festival on Oct. 15-17\, 2021. \nDevelopment and oversight of the course design were conducted by a renowned motorsports track planning and execution company. Construction is currently underway. The track will be named the Pace Grand Prix at the Bend\, in memory of the late Jim Pace. \nThe purpose-built street course will have eight turns winding through city streets and sections of private property\, with its main entrance at Blue Goose Hollow Park. It will continue to expand in the coming years\, with a longer version planned for 2022. \nEvents on the course during Friday and Saturday will include class races among a limited number of 12 competitors at a time. The new track replaces the Time Trials course used in 2019. Class designations may be found when registering at The Pace Grand Prix at the Bend — Chattanooga Motorcar FestivalWest. \nThe track entry is walkable to The Westin Hotel in West Village\, the home base of the festival.
