SUMMARY:Tigers East Alpines East United 39 - Ontario\, Canada
DESCRIPTION:Anticipated to be one of the largest gatherings of Sunbeam and Rootes cars ever in North America\, the weekend and location has been selected to coincide with Toronto British Car Day\, the largest one-day\, all-British car event in North America. Sunbeam and Rootes enthusiasts will be converging from as far away as Vancouver\, British Columbia\, Halifax\, Nova Scotia\, and Florida for a variety of events over an extended weekend including tours\, concours\, autocross\, parts room\, and more. \nBCD participants representing over 100 British car clubs\, come not only from Canada and the United States but from the U.K.\, New Zealand and other international destinations as well. The event is held at Bronte Provincial Park\, close to the Holiday Inn. We intend to stage our TEAE concours concurrently within the larger event and have been allocated 75-100 spots on the show field. We will also be eligible for certain British Car Day event awards. \nBritish Car Day draws more than 1\,000 British cars and an incredible 9000 spectators. The organizers think 2022 will be epic and memorable after being cancelled two years in a row due to Covid\, and they expect perhaps as many as 1500 cars will be in attendance. \nSeptember in Toronto offers moderate weather. Daytime temperature averages are in the low to mid-70’s Fahrenheit with nighttime averages about ten degrees lower. Judging will be by popular vote\, with awards given for each class\, and Best in Show. DESCRIPTION:The MG Car Club of Toronto and the North American MGB Register are excited to invite you to Peterborough\, gateway to the scenic Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario next June 19-23 for MG2022. Peterborough is located roughly halfway between Toronto and Ottawa and the area boasts some fantastic MG driving roads in Central Ontario’s idyllic cottage country. Peterborough is a vibrant small city that is home to some excellent local attractions. We are thrilled to be heading back to Peterborough after hosting the very first annual convention of the North American MGB Register there back in 1992. \n \nThe organizing committee of MG2022 has been hard at work over the last few months preparing a robust schedule of programs and events that MG enthusiasts of all ages can enjoy. \nHighlights of our program will include the car show held at Nichols Oval Park\, the same location as the car show was held back in 1992. Nichols Oval Park provides us with a fantastic setting for a car show\, offers plenty of shade\, and is only a 5-10 minute drive from the host hotels. We can’t think of a better location to be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the MGB. \nOur tech session lineup is already shaping up to be one not to miss. Alan Vinegar has lined up some fantastic presenters that should provide a diverse range of interesting topics for the MG enthusiast. We are also planning to have the legendary John Twist in attendance to carry out his always popular rolling tech session. \nWe will have several self-guided and organized tours available during MG2022. We are planning some driving events including a local rally and funkhana. We have recently been in discussions with Hagerty in regards to offering a “Shift School” geared towards the next generation of MG enthusiasts. Elaine Kerys and her team have been hard at work contacting local businesses and places of interest. Our Navigators program is shaping up to be fantastic and one of the best ones I have ever seen at an MG event. \nPlans have yet to be finalized but at this point\, we have recently re-affirmed the commitment of our special guest speaker for the awards banquet and we can’t wait to reveal who that person is once we have finalized the arrangements. \nFinally\, we understand COVID has been a tough time for a lot of people. We will be doing our best to monitor the constantly evolving situation. Rest assured that we will be doing everything we can to provide all attendees with the safest and most enjoyable experience possible at MG2022. \nWe look forward to providing you with an update later this year\, closer to when registration opens. DESCRIPTION:British Field Day (BFD) is once again being held at Liberty Park. Join us Saturday\, June 18\, 2022\, 9 AM – 3 PM. \nThis is an event for families. Car owners\, bring your rusty project\, 100-point restoration\, or anything in between. We celebrate all types of British vehicles in any condition. \nLiberty Park is located between 500 East & 700 East\, and 900 South & 1300 South in Salt Lake City. The BFD event will be held in the northeast quadrant of the park. Enter off 1300 South and drive east and north about a quarter of the way around the park. You will see the event on the left. \nRegistration starts at 8 AM. We hope to have most bikes and cars in place by 9 AM. We encourage folks displaying vehicles to try to stay until 2 PM\, but if you can only make it for a couple of hours\, that is fine\, too! The registration fee is $10 per bike or car. \nThe maximum registration fee is $20 per registrant regardless of the number of cars or bikes they bring. A $5 donation is requested per adult admission. Kids 12 and under are free.

DESCRIPTION:The MG Car Club – Rocky Mountain Centre invites you to join us for the 70th Annual Rallye Glenwood Springs\, the oldest\, continually held\,time-speed-distance rally in the United States\, on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, June 10\, 11\, and 12\, 2022. This year’s rallye is being held in honor of the Platinum Jubilee of her Majesty the Queen. \nThe weekend is a marvelous opportunity\, not just for MG owners\, but for sports car enthusiasts of every marque (British\, American\, German\, Italian\, Asian to come together for sunny days\, cool nights\, and unique events in Glenwood Springs. The fun begins on Friday with the more rigorous time-speed-distance rallye designed to challenge both novice and experienced rallyists. The rallye departs from Gunther Toody’s Restaurant in Littleton\, CO\, runs through canyons and over mountain passes in the heart of the Rocky Mountains\, and finishes in Glenwood Springs. \nSaturday’s main event is the ‘Many Miles’ Tour which starts and finishes in Glenwood Springs. On the way\, you will enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery Colorado has to offer. \nThe weekend’s activities round out with the Car Show\, Funkhana\, and Awards Presentation on Sunday. \nYour registration package contains a raffle ticket. Make sure you bring it to the car show on Sunday to be eligible for door prizes. \nSince its inception\, the MGCC-RMC has sponsored the Rallye\, which began when a hardy group of sports car owners\, led by Mrs. Hazel Marble\, discovered the joys of motoring in Colorado in MGs that still had drop-down tops and running boards. \nVintage and classic cars from as far away as California and Connecticut have shared the twisting mountain roads with their newer counterparts for octane-related festivities. Enthusiasts have come from as far away as England to drive their sports cars through such fabled Colorado mining towns as Marble\, Leadville\, and Aspen on their way to Glenwood Springs.

DESCRIPTION:The Connecticut MG Club is happy to announce that after a hectic\, unsure COVID year\, the 34th annual British By The Sea Gathering is back for 2022! It will be held on the usual date of the first Sunday in June\, which will be June 5th\, at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford CT on the North shore of Long Island Sound. \nBBTS is a popular vote\, fun event\, with etched glass mugs being presented as awards. For 2022\, the event will have 32+ Classes\, displayed on the spacious 4 acre field. The event organizers want to encourage ALL British car\, truck\, and motorcycle owners and enthusiasts to attend and have an enjoyable time. Whether your vehicle is in pristine condition\, or a daily driver\, sparkling paint and chrome or with “Barn Fresh” patina\, it deserves to be part of the event and on the display field. \nFor this year\, the club has divided the Jaguar Marque into 4 separate Classes\, one of which will be their Featured Marque Of The Year\, the JAGUAR E-TYPE. \nCome down and enjoy the day mingling with other LBC owners\, talk about cars\, have a picnic\, a glass of wine\, and also take in all that the 240 acre Harkness Memorial State Park has to offer\, such as the beach\, the Mansion “Eolia”\, and the Gardens. The CT MG Club donates a large amount of the proceeds from BBTS to the Park to purchase plants for the West Gardens\, helping to restore the “Eolia” Gardens to their original grandeur as designed by Beatrix Farrand in 1919. In addition\, the club provides “people power” over a few weekends to plant them. \nThe club has selected a variety of quality food vendors to attend in order to satisfy any appetite\, from coffee and pastry\, hot dogs and hamburgers\, lobster rolls\, deli sandwiches and wood fired brick oven pizzas\, to Ice Cream for dessert. You can also bring a picnic to enjoy and share “out of the boot” of your car. \nThe expansive lawn areas offer ample room for the display vehicles\, vendors\, spectator parking and a spacious area for trailer parking.

DESCRIPTION:The show is sponsored by Delaware Valley Jaguar Club and CMOE Triumph Club.  It is a major concourse for Jaguars in the Philadelphia\, NJ\, and Delaware area. \nLast year we had several thousand people come to the show and several hundred British cars entered in the Jaguar concourse and the MG\, Triumph\, AH side as well. \n\nEnter your qualifying car or motorcycle by pre-registration only. Registration is $20 per car\, $10 per motorcycle. Online registration closes at 8pm on Friday\, May 27th\, 2022.\n\nField opens Saturday June 4th\, at 8:30am – Judging begins at 10am \n\n\nOrganized and sponsored by Delaware Valley Triumphs Ltd. (DVT) and The Delaware Valley Jaguar Club (DVJC) \n\n\nWhile at the car show\, enjoy the gardens\, museum\, food\, and a craft beer tasting at the Ales and Petals event hosted by The Friends of Hope Lodge.
