DESCRIPTION:More than 200 vintage British sports cars will be on display when the British Motorcar Gathering is staged at Hellertown Reservoir Park\, just south of Bethlehem\, in eastern Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. \nThe annual show features finely restored MGs\, Triumphs\, Jaguars\, Austin-Healeys\, Morgans and Minis from every mid-Atlantic state. Classic British sports cars and sedans dating from the 1930s to present day will be displayed in a wooded setting\, with separate areas for each make of car. \nThose registered will choose the top three examples of each class and model of car\, with more than 50 awards to be made. There will also be a “Best of Show” award for the favorite car of the day\, and a “Diamond in the Rough” award\, given to a car which is still on its way to complete restoration. \nFood and drinks available in large picnic pavilion or bring your own\, with events for children and music provided all day.

DESCRIPTION:The 2016 Highlands Motoring Festival with many of the popular events from previous years. This year’s festival will be held June 9-12 with festivities occurring on all days. Being only one week before the Summer Solstice the days are expected to be adorned with plenty of daylight and cool mountain air. Highlands is generally 10-15 degree cooler than the surrounding areas. \nWelcome Party at the Ugly Dog Pub.\nThursday\, June 9th (evening)\nEntertainment for the evening featuring WellStrung\, a popular Highlands bluegrass band. This event is open to the public. No cover charge\, however\, donations may be made to this year’s charity\, The Literacy Council of Highlands. This event is being hosted by The Literacy Council of Highlands. \nOne Lap of the Mountains (Day-long drive)\nFriday\, June 10th (day)\nThe annual One Lap of the Mountains Cruse will be held this year on June 10. This very popular driving event\, sponsored by the Highlands Motoring Festival\, will traverse approximately one hundred and sixty miles (out and back) of beautiful less traveled and exciting back roads of Western North Carolina. \nOne Lap will begin at 8:00 AM with coffee and a continental breakfast\, at a yet to be determined Highlands in-town location.  After the  drivers’ meeting\, the distribution of driving logs\, instructions\, and gifts the group will depart  from Highlands at 9:00 AM sharp. \nLunch will be at Rib Country in Murphy\, NC. Be prepared to eat some fabulous Bar-B-Q or enjoy one of their many wonderful salads.   From Murphy we will return to Highlands via another interesting route\, arriving back in Highlands NLT 3:30 PM and in plenty of time to freshen up for the Friday night gala at the Bascom. \nAll interesting cars are welcome to participate whether old or new\, but please be aware that whatever you bring should be up the task of many twists and turns on mountainous roads! The price of admission is $75.00 per car and driver and $25.00 for each additional passenger.  Each driver will be given a Highlands Motoring Festival cap and the new 2016 HMF poster. Each passenger will also receive a HMF cap. A detailed trip log and instructions to assist with navigation along the route will also be provided for each car. All meals are Dutch. \nMotoring to the Beach Gala\nFriday\, June 10th (evening)\nAgain this year\, is Motoring to the Beach Gala. A special Motoring Festival opening party with a highly popular Beach Music band\, The City Street Band\, will provide entertainment for a Motoring to the Beach Opening Party on Friday evening. Located at the lovely Bascom Art Center\, on their campus in Highlands. The facility provides a chance to view cars as well as enjoy the art exhibits on their expansive campus.  This promises to be an event that will quickly sell out.The event is organized and hosted by The Literacy Council of Highlands. All inclusive ticket price is only $85 per person. Party begins at 5:30. There will be an opportunity to view new cars from our Platinum sponsors\, as well as some older\, classic cars.  Location is the Bascom: Center for Visual Arts\, 323 Franklin Road Highlands. \nHighlands Motoring Festival Classic Car Show\nSaturday\, June 11th (day)\nThe 9th Annual Highlands Motoring Festival Car Show will open at 10:00 (Registration to begin at 8:00\, and ends at 11:00) at the Kelsey-Hutchinson Park on Pine Street (the site of the first several Shows).  Entrance will be at 5th Street and Pine. Judging will begin at 11:00. This venue will feature classic cars surrounded in the new park\, created by the Town. Vehicles will be grouped in 8 different classes\, for viewing and participant judging. Trophies\, crafted by a local pottery artisan\, will be presented to cars designated as Best in Class\, and Outstanding in Class. Also presented will be the Best of Show. While most cars will be 1989 model or older\, a Special Interest exhibit will exist for special vehicles that will be on display but not judged. \nMusic on the Park\nSaturday\, June 11th (evening)\nNew this year\, is Music on Pine Street.  This is the same location as the Classic Car Show\, held earlier in the day.  At 6:00 PM\, the Town of Highlands\, and numerous participating merchants\, provide a band for your relaxation and enjoyment.  There is no charge for this activity.  This is a chance to unwind from the day’s actions\, and have time with new and old friends.  Food and drink\, may be brought to the event.  Additionally\, there are options to purchase food from vendors adjoining the park. Come and enjoy the music\, have food and drink\, and relax. \nCars and Coffee on Main St.\nSunday\, June 12th (day)\nHighland’s version of Cars and Coffee\, known in Highlands as Butts on the Bench\, will commence at 9:00.  The location is the “Loafer’s Bench” (hence the nickname) on Main Street\, next to the Stone Lantern\, across the street from Buck’s Coffee. The gathering is a time to say goodbye to new friends\, and renew acquaintances with old friends.  This is a very casual gathering\, that usually happens every weekend in Highlands.  Please plan on attending. \nPlease make plans to join others at this year’s events.

DESCRIPTION:The CT MG Club’s “BRITISH BY THE SEA” is a fun Gathering of people who own and appreciate British Vehicles. Our BBTS Gathering is always scheduled on the first Sunday in June\, at the scenic 240-acre Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford Ct.\, on the north shore if Long Island Sound. We want to encourage people to come down and enjoy a day mingling with other LBC owners\, talk about cars\, have a picnic\, a glass of wine\, and also take in all that Harkness Memorial State Park has to offer\, such as the beach\, the Mansion Eolia\, and the Gardens. The CT MG Club donates a large amount of our proceeds from BBTS to the Park to purchase plants for the West Gardens\, helping to restore the “Eolia” Gardens to their original grandeur as designed by Beatrix Farrand in 1919. In addition\, we provide “people power” over a few weekends to plant them. “BRITISH BY THE SEA” is not a judged show\, although we do present etched glass mug awards to vehicles selected by popular vote. \nWe have selected a variety of quality food vendors to attend in order to satisfy any appetite\, from hot dogs and hamburgers\, lobster rolls\, and wood-fired brick oven pizzas\, to Ice Cream and cupcakes for desert. You can also bring a picnic to enjoy and share “out of the boot” of your car. \nThe expansive lawn areas offer ample room for display vehicles\, spectator parking and a spacious area for trailer parking. \nOur 28th British By The Sea 2015 was a fantastic event. We had great weather\, 378 wonderful British Vehicles\, and a very friendly blend of people. Our Featured Marque “Early Triumphs of the Sir John Black Era” brought out some very rare Triumphs that many people never even knew existed! \nThe Featured Marques for this year’s 29th British By The Sea 2016\, are Rolls-Royce and Bentley. These Marques have had an interesting history\, during which both were owned by several Companies\, and Bentley being involved in both Luxury vehicles and in the racing arena. DESCRIPTION:Please join the Capital Triumph Register on Sunday\, April 24th\, 2016 at our club’s Eighteenth annual car show and second season at Gunston Hall Plantation\, Mason Neck\, Virginia\, the home of American patriot George Mason. Enjoy the 2016 driving season with a picnic\, a day of British automobiles and a complimentary tour of the historic house and grounds. \nLarge Variety of British Cars\nPast shows have featured nearly 200 British cars registered in 25 Classes and hundreds of spectators.  The British Car hobby and motor industry are extremely well represented.  Dozens of Triumphs and MGs are joined by Austin Healeys\, Jaguars\, Rolls and Bentleys\, Minis\, Lotuses\, Land Rovers\, and cars you’ve probably never seen before\, such as Jensen\, Riley\, and Wolseley. The show is a participant’s choice voting for class awards plus special awards such as Best of Show chosen by the BOG committee. The price of show car registration includes a dash plaque\, a commemorative poster (for pre-registrants only)\, and a tour of Gunston Hall. Spectator admission will be at standard Gunston Hall prices\, which includes a tour of the house and grounds as well as the car show. British car regalia and food vendors are available for your enjoyment all day long. Plus you will have an immersion in American Colonial history with the period reenactors giving demonstrations in outdoor cooking. \nThe Capital Triumph Register of Virginia\nThe Capital Triumph Register (CTR) was founded in 1989 to serve Triumph enthusiasts in the Washington\, DC metropolitan area. CTR has grown steadily\, with nearly 130 members presently registered. CTR is an autonomous Chapter of the Vintage Triumph Register\, a North American association dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of all Triumph automobiles.
