Located within the mock Victorian town center of Lake Sumter Landing\, the car show will include a variety of awards\, British car-related vendors\, photographs of James Bond (Daniel Craig impersonator) behind the wheel of your car\, and the possibility of winning an oil painting of your car. Ask our Brit car expert your most difficult mechanical question. \n\n\n\nThe British Festival includes British music\, dancing\, food\, and other vendors. This type of activity in The Villages usually attracts 3\,000 to 12\,000 attendees. \n\n\n\nCheck-in\, socializing with other show participants\, and a lunch buffet at the elegant Waterfront Inn will commence at noon. The show officially runs from 4-8 pm with more socializing at the Inn afterward. This block contains unexpected or invalid content. \n\n\n\nPlease stay for The Villages’ monthly Cruise In the following day (if your car is at least 30 years old)\, which runs from 4-9 at another Villages town center\, Spanish Springs. DESCRIPTION:Charleston’s long-running British Car Day attracts British cars from Florida to Ohio. The show is on a grassed field surrounded by Live Oak trees. The show attracts cars from a 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost to a 2018 McLaren 720S along with Triumph’s\, MG’s\, Austin Healey’s\, Aston Martin’s\, Jaguar’s\, Bentley’s\, and British motorcycles. We have a Spotlight Margue this year\, the Morgan. We are planning a very special Welcome Reception the day before the show\, so come early! \nTour and Reception \nFor those who arrive early\, we have a full Friday of events planned. Friday will start at 11 am with a meet-up at the McLeod Plantation. We’ll then take a drive through some of the most scenic parts of Charleston. Then starting at 1 pm you can go to a traditional English tea. Then at 3 pm\, you can take a tour of McLeod Plantation. The Evening Welcome Reception runs from 5 pm to 9 pm and is included for two with your British Car Day registration. \nYour registration to British Car Day includes two attending the Friday evening Welcome Reception. DESCRIPTION:Our 17th annual show has a new venue! We searched hard to find the perfect place. A place where you and your family can enjoy the cars and much\, much more! We are sure that we found it and hope you agree. \nSkippack Village\, located on Route 73 just east of Route 113\, is our new home. Our festival show field is in the center of town\, surrounded by shops\, boutiques\, and crafters of all kinds. Enjoy a snack or grab lunch in the village\, then stick around after the car show for dinner in one of the many restaurants – simple to high-end. Round out your day by taking in a show at Playcrafters. Keep the fun going all weekend by staying in one of the limited rooms that are available at the Hotel Fiesole. \nCar show registration opens at 10 am (rain or shine). General admission opens at 11 am – of course\, it is still free! The voting will run from noon until 1:30 pm. After tallying the votes\, trophies will be awarded. Trophies are awarded per marque based on popular vote. SUMMARY:Put-In-Bay Historic Sports Car Races - Ohio
DESCRIPTION:The races were held back in the early 1950s through about 1962 or so with perhaps a year or two omitted. \nThe races were originally conducted on the public roads on the small island in Lake Erie just north of the north coast of Ohio. The races were re-invented about 10 years ago. But rather than racing on the public roads they now race on a temporary race course set up on the airport runways and taxiways. Racing classes are designed to bring in mostly 3.0 liter and smaller engine race cars. And they restrict vehicles to those built before 1970 (generally). I have spectated and more recently now serve as a safety team representative (tow disabled race cars off the track). As you might guess there are considerable vintage MGs including T-Series competing on the track. The theme this year (to be held September 19-22) is the “Triumph vs MG Challenge.” \nIf you haven’t witnessed this event you owe yourself this venue. Great racing and lots of fun.

DESCRIPTION:The 37th Annual British Car Day® will be held on Sunday\, 18th September 2022 at Bronte Creek Provincial Park when another great show is planned. We are expecting well over 1\,100 British Cars\, great vendors\, wonderful anniversary cars spanning 3 years and much more. We have had to make a modest increase to our car registration pricing this year by $5 – the first change since 2010 – to cover ever-increasing costs. Pre-registration through FASTLANE will be available in May 2022 and it’s a great way to save money ($20 versus $25 at the gate). In addition\, you will save time by driving through the FASTLANE where you will pick-up an excellent program together with a voting card and dash plaque. Those paying cash at the gate will have to sign-in at our registration desk which is where you will collect your program etc. \nWe have almost 60 different car classes and 3 awards per class so the odds are pretty good that you might win one! There will also be a panel of judges selecting the Best of Show car and a Long-Distance Award presented to the car driven the furthest (you must pre-register to be eligible). Winner of the 2019 Best of Show car\, a 1933 Morgan Supersports JAP owned by Dave & Pauline Smith for 53 years typifies the wonderful cars and enthusiasts that come to the show. \nIf you are new to British Car Day® a little background.   it is hosted annually by the Toronto Triumph Club\, on the third Sunday of September.   Since its inaugural event in 1984 it has grown in leaps and bounds and now draws more than 1\,000 British cars and over 9\,000 spectators\, with room to grow even bigger.   British Car Day® is open to vintage\, classic and current British-manufactured vehicles\, including motorcycles.  The event is the largest\, one-day\, all-British car event in North America\, with car owners and visitors traveling from Ontario\, the northeast United States\, the Maritime provinces\, Quebec and Manitoba.   Over the years\, we have even had visitors from Alberta\, Saskatchewan\, Texas\, the UK\, and New Zealand. \nCharlie Conquergood Memorial Award \nThe venue for British Car Day® is Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville\, about 25 miles west of downtown Toronto\, conveniently located at the Burloak Drive exit off the Queen Elizabeth Way. The south entrance is for non-British cars & spectators\, while the north entrance is reserved for British car exhibitors and vendors. \nEvery year one of the most popular destinations at British Car Day® is the Vendor Village area. DESCRIPTION:Anticipated to be one of the largest gatherings of Sunbeam and Rootes cars ever in North America\, the weekend and location has been selected to coincide with Toronto British Car Day\, the largest one-day\, all-British car event in North America. Sunbeam and Rootes enthusiasts will be converging from as far away as Vancouver\, British Columbia\, Halifax\, Nova Scotia\, and Florida for a variety of events over an extended weekend including tours\, concours\, autocross\, parts room\, and more. \nBCD participants representing over 100 British car clubs\, come not only from Canada and the United States but from the U.K.\, New Zealand and other international destinations as well. The event is held at Bronte Provincial Park\, close to the Holiday Inn. We intend to stage our TEAE concours concurrently within the larger event and have been allocated 75-100 spots on the show field.
