SUMMARY:24th Annual British Motorcar Gathering\, Pennsylvania
DESCRIPTION:More than 200 vintage British sports cars will be on display when the British Motorcar Gathering is staged at Hellertown Reservoir Park\, just south of Bethlehem\, in eastern Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. \nThe annual show features finely restored MGs\, Triumphs\, Jaguars\, Austin-Healeys\, Morgans and Minis from every mid-Atlantic state. Classic British sports cars and sedans dating from the 1930s to present day will be displayed in a wooded setting\, with separate areas for each make of car. \nThose registered will choose the top three examples of each class and model of car\, with more than 50 awards to be made. There will also be a “Best of Show” award for the favorite car of the day\, and a “Diamond in the Rough” award\, given to a car which is still on its way to complete restoration. \nAll makes of British cars and motorcycles\, old and new\, are welcome. Show classes will be determined by the number of cars of each marque and model which pre-registered by May 31. At least three cars of a type must be pre-registered in order to be considered for a separate class. \nThe field opens at 9 a.m.\, with judging until 12:30 p.m. Catered food and drinks are available in a large picnic pavilion\, or bring your own picnic\, with events for children and music provided all day. \nThe British Motorcar Gathering will be held RAIN OR SHINE\, with no rain date. \nPre-registration is $15 by May 31.  Participants may register on the day of the show for $20. \nThe show is held rain or shine.  Spectators are asked for a $2 donation ($5 for a family).

DESCRIPTION:The Connecticut MG Club’s “BRITISH BY THE SEA” is a fun gathering of people who own and appreciate British Vehicles of all Marques.  Although we do present etched glass mug awards to vehicles selected by popular vote\, “BRITISH BY THE SEA” is not a judged show. We want to encourage all British car\, truck\, and motorcycle owners and enthusiasts to attend and have an enjoyable time. Whether your vehicle is in pristine condition\, or a daily driver\, sparkling paint and chrome or with “Barn Fresh” patina\, it deserves to be part of the event and on the display field.This is going to be our \nThis is going to be our 30th-anniversary event\, and we want to make it Special!  The Featured Marque for this year’s 30th Anniversary British By The Sea is the Morris. As usual\, our Featured Marque will be prominently displayed in the front row and will have generous room to display the vehicles along with any club tents for memorabilia and hospitality. \nOur BBTS Gathering is always scheduled on the first Sunday in June\, at the scenic 240 acre Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford Ct.\, on the north shore of Long Island Sound. We want to encourage people to come down and enjoy a day mingling with other LBC owners\, talk about cars\, have a picnic\, a glass of wine\, and also take in all that Harkness Memorial State Park has to offer\, such as the beach\, the Mansion “Eolia”\, and the Gardens. The CT MG Club donates a large amount of our proceeds from BBTS to the Park to purchase plants for the West Gardens\, helping to restore the “Eolia” Gardens to their original grandeur as designed by Beatrix Farrand in 1919. In addition\, we provide “people power” over a few weekends to plant them.We have selected a variety of quality food vendors to attend in order to satisfy any appetite\, from hot dogs and hamburgers\, lobster rolls\, and \nWe have selected a variety of quality food vendors to attend in order to satisfy any appetite\, from hot dogs and hamburgers\, lobster rolls\, and wood fired brick oven pizzas\, to Ice Cream for desert. DESCRIPTION:Cars and Motorcycles of England returns to the historic Oakbourne Mansion again in 2017\, featuring an all-British marque judged motorcar and motorcycle concours\, and a nationally sanctioned Jaguar Concours d’Elegance. The combined show fields represent one of the largest British Motoring shows on the East Coast with over 250 cars and motorcycles participating in each of the last four years. The show field opens at 8:30 AM and Judging begins at 10:00 AM. Prizes will be awarded beginning at 2:30PM. \nDelaware Valley Triumphs sponsors the All-British show. In 2015 our show field included the following marques: Aston Martin\, Austin\, Austin Healey\, Bentley\, Daimler\, Innocenti\, Jaguar\, Lancester\, Lotus\, MG\, Mini\, Morgan\, Peerless\, Rolls Royce\, Rover\, Sunbeam\, and\, of course\, Triumph. Motorcycles included BSA\, Norton\, and Triumph. In 2017 there are 40 award classes for automobiles and four for motorcycles. Special awards will also be given for Diamond in the Rough\, the Best of Show – Participants’ Choice and the Best of Show – Judge’s Choice. Registration is $20 per vehicle until May 27\, 2017\, and $25 from May 27 onward.

DESCRIPTION:The 26 annual Champagne British Car Festival will be held June 2\,3 & 4\, 2017 in Bloomington\, Illinois.  DeLorean has been chosen as the featured marque.  The Sunday public show on the lawn of the historic David Davis Mansion will feature the Mecum Auction “Mobile Experience” trailer and the McNuty Irish Dancers. \n \nFor anyone who has watched one of the Mecum auctions on TV\, you know how glamorous this side of car auctions can be. The glossy paint\, rare cars and high-rollers willing to bid up to get what they want make for an exciting event. But that excitement had been limited to the people who happen to watch the auctions on TV or get to one in person\, until Mecum joined up with Spevco to create a mobile marketing unit that brings that excitement out on the road. \n“When they came to us\, they wanted something they could take to car shows\, events and their own auctions to interact with people and help build their brand\,” said Chris Stonehouse\, mission specialist. What they ended up with was an exhibit that can display a couple of cars at a time\, on a stage just like the ones that are set up for each auctions. The cars come rolling out to huge fanfare\, and people love to get up close and personal with the cars. \nThe interactive exhibit includes iPads where people can learn more about Mecum and register into their database for alerts of upcoming auctions and a regular newsletter. For registering they get a t-shirt\, and then they’re able to get up on stage for a photo-op with the car\, which they can share on social media. “It’s been a great way for them to really build excitement and advertise upcoming events\,” Stonehouse said. [Mecum Spevco] \nMecum kicked off their 2016 auctions with a big event in Kissimmee\, Fla.\, earlier this month\, and Stonehouse was lucky to be able to be there and take part in some of the marketing events. From there the trailer will travel to car shows and specialty events a it makes its way to the other auctions on tap for 2016. “Mecum’s marketing team has been really pleased with the success of this program\,” Stonehouse said. “We not only created a customized trailer\, but we cover the logistics of taking it on the road. DESCRIPTION:The Vintage Auto Racing Association will host its 23rd annual British Extravaganza May 6-7 at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. \nAs always this event will feature the British Concours of Cars In addition to VARA’s normal run groups (normal points awarded) we will have the following: \nFeature Races\n\nMG\, Mini\, Sprite\, and Triumph Challenge Races (The Union Jack Challenge)\nPre-War/Historic Run Group\nOther small bore British Cars will be invited in the specialty races\n\nBritish Show\nMarques from all over the United States are invited for popular vote awards. The car show participants will enjoy track drives and a slalom competition. \nBBQ Saturday Night\nYou don’t want to miss the now famous Saturday Night BBQ! Each race entry will receive two BBQ tickets. We will be collecting tickets. This is always a fun\, entertaining evening with Music\, dancing\, Karaoke\, etc. Additional tickets may be purchased for $15.00 each.

DESCRIPTION:Located in the Uwharrie Mountain Range with a 10-acree lake on the property. This is a free event and the only thing required is a cover dish to share with the group.
