DESCRIPTION:We are happy to announce the 36th annual CT MG Club’s British by the Sea Gathering to be held on June 2nd\, 2024 at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford CT on the North shore of Long Island Sound. BBTS is a popular vote\, fun event\, with etched glass mugs being presented as awards. \nFor 2024\, we will have 32+ Classes\, displayed on our 4-acre field. We want to encourage ALL British car\, truck\, and motorcycle owners and enthusiasts to attend and have an enjoyable time. Whether your vehicle is in pristine condition\, or a daily driver\, sparkling paint and chrome or with “Barn Fresh” patina\, it deserves to be part of the event and on the display field. \nFor this year\, the Marque of the Year is Triumph’s TR-7 and TR-8. Come down and enjoy the day mingling with other LBC owners\, talk about cars\, have a picnic\, a glass of wine\, and also take in all that the 240-acre Harkness Memorial State Park has to offer\, such as the beach\, the Mansion “Eolia”\, and the Gardens. \nThe CT MG Club donates a large amount of our proceeds from BBTS to the Park to purchase plants for the West Gardens\, helping to restore the “Eolia” Gardens to their original grandeur as designed by Beatrix Farrand in 1919. In addition\, we provide “people power” over a few weekends to plant them. We have selected a variety of quality food vendors to attend in order to satisfy any appetite\, from coffee and pastry\, hot dogs and hamburgers\, lobster rolls\, deli sandwiches\, and wood-fired brick oven pizzas\, to Ice Cream for dessert. You can also bring a picnic to enjoy and share “out of the boot” of your car. DESCRIPTION:The Ohio Chapters of the MGTs and the BuckAyes of NAMGAR invite ALL MGs and their owners to have an Octagonal Time in the Heart of Ohio at the Cherry Valley Hotel in Newark\, Ohio June 17th-21\, 2024.Why will it be an Octagonal time?  One reason is that the hotel has been built in the shape of two octagons\, our favorite shape!   The Cherry Valley Hotel is located between Newark and Granville\, in Licking County.  It is in the Best Western Premier Collection.  These small communities are surrounded by many superb MG roads\, including Athens County’s Windy 9\, meant to be driven by our MGs. In addition to the events being planned\, you may want to visit the Explore Licking County’s website for even more ideas.During this event\, the NAMMMR will hold its national meet and NAMGAR will hold a regional meet.There are plenty of things to see and do\, it will be an MG Gathering of the Faithful you won’t want to miss! \n \n
