DESCRIPTION:2021 Show Pre-Registration Is Now Open! \nEnjoy the elegance of classic and special interest British automobiles displayed ‘on the Green’ at Peoria’s Centennial Plaza Park. \nCars will be on display to the public starting at 9:00 am with an awards ceremony scheduled at 1:00 pm. This is a free event for enthusiasts and spectators of all ages. Parking is plentiful\, food and beverage will be available\, and leashed pets are permitted. \nThe British Wheels on the Green 2021 car show is presented by the Arizona MG Club and is sponsored in part by local automotive service\, parts\, and regalia vendors. The display will feature recognized British marques including Austin Healey\, Austin Mini\, Jaguar\, Jensen Healey\, London Taxi\, MG\, Rolls Royce\, Singer\, Sunbeam\, and Triumph. Valley British car club representatives will be on-hand to promote their respective marques and club offerings. A portion of the show proceeds will benefit Ryan House\, an Arizona non-profit whose goal is to create a replicable model of world-class caregiving that provides\nrespite and palliative care for children and their families as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys\, www.ryanhouse.org. \nThe Arizona MG Car Club\, a non-profit social club\, has been promoting the preservation\, enjoyment\, use\, and ownership of the MG marque and its variants through drives\, technical sessions\, and social events statewide since its founding in 1989. SUMMARY:2021 MG Jamboree - Safety Harbor\, FL
DESCRIPTION:On November 19-21\, 2021 the Florida Suncoast MG Car Club will host MG Jamboree 22 at the beautiful Safety Harbor Resort and Spa overlooking Tampa Bay. The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is a one-of-a-kind destination rich in history and hailed for exquisite hospitality…offering spacious\, well-appointed guestrooms\, stunning crystal chandelier-lit ballrooms\, a cozy lobby lounge along with casual and fine dining. \nTucked away in the quaint town of Safety Harbor\, Florida\, the “Spa” has remained a highly revered refuge for rest and relaxation for nearly 100 years. \nCentral to the resort’s storied past and today’s global popularity is the acclaimed spa built on the ancient natural mineral springs that run beneath the resort. In 1539\, Spanish explorer Hernando De Soto reached this very site and discovered the natural mineral springs\, believing he had found the legendary “Fountain of Youth.” American Indians visited the springs and inhabited what is now the Safety Harbor area almost 2\,000 years ago. \nIn November 2021\, British cars and drivers will arrive for a weekend of relaxation and fun at MG Jamboree 22. \nAt this MG Jamboree\, there will be two car shows open to all British cars… one on Friday at the Spa and another on Saturday as part of the Dunedin Celtic Music and Craft Beer Festival. Also\, on Friday evening\, guests can stroll Main Street in Safety Harbor for the Street Fair and Music Festival. Guided and self-guided tours will be featured as well as tech sessions appealing to all. Ending each day will be meals prepared by the Spa’s expert chefs. The Saturday evening meal will be a “Hippie” themed party. \nFor those people anxious to venture farther afield\, within one hour driving time is the Greek fishing village of Tarpon Springs\, the Cigar Capital-Ybor City\, picturesque Saint Petersburg\, and Treasure Island Beach which is hosting the International Sand Sculpturing Competition of 2021. Or\, you may stay at the Spa and be pampered by their attentive staff and pools offering healing mineral waters. \nMG Jamboree has been held every other year in the Tampa Bay area since 1982 and offers a unique perspective on the area and the British car hobby. It is a wonderful activity for Northerners to do before putting their cars into cold storage and a great way for Southerners to start the cool weather driving ahead.
